Braxton Miller is now a WR

look for some trickeration there. it'll add an extra wrinkle ion their play book. WOuldn't be surprised if he threw a bunch of TDs this season as part of a WR trick play.

OSU is going to be unstoppable this year. They are winning the NC agian.

Smart move on his part since there was zero chance of him playing QB in the NFL. Now he can get drafted as a WR.

Bad news for every team that has to play OSU. The best team in CFB just got even better.

Not sure how Miller going to WR automatically makes the best team better? Who knows if he can play wide receiver. I do agree it is best for him to play another position because he will not be an NFL QB.

Why are you so sure he can't play Qb in the NFL? Russell Wilson proved everyone wrong.

That's absolutely bull that Miller had 0 chance to play QB in NFL. What makes you say that with certainty? If hadn't gotten hurt, there's a chance we'd never know who JT Barrett or Cardale Jones were. To my understanding, NFL scouts had their eyes on Miller. But realistically, would you like to be practically gaurunteed to have a huge season or take your chances and compete against a QB that lit up the 2014 reg season and a QB that won the NC and maybe never see the field? Miller is a great athlete, with this move I think (opinion, not fact) tOSU will have back to back NC's.

By many accounts, the shoulder injury sapped whatever arm strength that he had and most likely would not have lasted under the full wear and tear of a full season.

Wilson doesn't have a big arm. He's good at eluding pressure and throwing on the run.

Miller would have been Terrell Pryor 2.0 in the NFL, who oddly enough also just switched to WR.

I would give Cardale the job and use Barrett in spurts.

100% correct.

This is what I was going to reply with. Miller is a super athlete so he will succeed in any spot. WR is best since he won't take a beating like a RB would. His arm is shot, but this way he can still go pro.

And I'm sure a lot of those trick plays will come when they are up 30... "style points"
How soon do you want Urban to pull the starters? There's a chance in a number of games that 30 will be in the 2nd quarter.

I don't know how well he can run routes or catch, but putting him in the Hybrid position and letting him take jet sweeps and shovel passes...

Wilson has a way better arm than Miller.
False. Well, maybe true post 2 shoulder operations. But before the injury Braxton had a huge arm. But he didn't have the touch or the accuracy that Wilson does.

Flip it. Barrett should be starting with packages for Cardale. Cardale maybe more purely talented, and will be a better QB at the next level. Barrett is the better QB for this team in college. Though if Urban decides Cardale is the guy, I'm on board.

I'll bet you nearly anything they don't repeat. They will be good, but just can't see it two years in a row

OSU fan here. Look for Miller on jet sweeps, flanker screens, reverses. I don't think he starts. We are loaded at H back (Marshall, Samuel, Wilson, Miller). I look for one of them to move to WR, probably Marshall. Samuel should also see some time at RB as a backup to Elliott. We have a very talented team but we are no lock to make the playoffs or win the NC. OSU has been voted No. 1 7 times in pre-season polls and has never won the NC in those years (we finished #2 twice).

OSU will be stacked no doubt but this team got beat at home by VA Tech and then went on a run. Anything can happen in a game and RU will be playing at home. RU lost last year coming out of the tunnel at Buckeye stadium. RU needs to show up at High Point against the Buckeyes and at least make game respectable.

GO RU

Its telling that after crushing everyone in playoffs, and winning the NC, Ohio St only had 2 players taken in first three draft rounds - and none in the first round. The reason is that last year's players are mostly all coming back - and many were sophomores last year.

I'm a huge OSU fan and I agree with you. The pressure to win back to back MNC's will be immense. They could win it, but no guarantees.

This means Miller is essentially a player without a position. He has not played WR in college and he is playing for a team that is probably with 4 and 5 start WRs. He is not going to replace them.
He is essentially a third down specialist.

Yeah i think many people around the country forget how amazing an athlete Braxton was. If his shoulder healed on time he was going to be our starting QB. You take him and throw him on the outside its just match up nightmares waiting to happen. Not being a homer but i think he's the best athlete in college football. Imagine what he's going to do this year with only one guy covering him, because of all the other play makers on the team. This season can't start soon enough!
