Great article. I’ve been critical of Hyatt at times, but gotta love the guy after reading this.

It’s great seeing it click for seniors and have big moments. There’s enough veteran experience where we could be a very dangerous team in the tourney if we get in. Two units that almost play different styles - one hard-nosed, attacking and the second one which is bombs away.

Hyatt looks a little more mobile and able to drive to the basket this year, I was kinda surprised he tried to drive and dunk late in the game vs Northwestern.

And even though he isn't a great defender, he has improved from last year. They even placed him at the top of the 1-3-1 press and mixed with the guards pressing, was able to get a 10 second violation.

The staff really does try new things and expand roles and responsibilities, to see what players can or cannot do. They've definitely carved out a role that Hyatt can handle and do well with, asking him to play in the press, is definitely expanding his roles/responsibilities, to see how he handles it....does it take away from his legs, shooting scoring?? Can he be somewhat impactful in that press on defense??

Obviously the shot from 3 was huge, then JWill was able to close the door.
