I contest the "friendly" connotation. It was a break but the trailing ref really had no visual clue as to where it happened other than where she landed. Linear depth perception is real hard in that situation. think of watching a running play in football when seated in the endzone. You often have no idea how many yards were gained or lost.

No way the ref could assume it happened just before the line. there should be video replay for situations like that. So I'd call it "fortunate".. not "friendly". I think it was reffed fairly.. unlike the previous game where we had an "unfriendly" ref.

And while we are objectifying top athletes.. that Kelley O'Hara is a cutey.

We played the Germans, and our defense was also excellent - look at these last names - lol

Becky Sauerbrunn controlled the middle and directed the rest of the defense. Julie Johnston played freely and Meghan Klingenberg and Ali Krieger owned the flanks.
