Of the Power 5 conferences, the PAC-12 and Big 12 have fewer teams so their numbers should be weighted accordingly for a fair comparison.

These numbers don't tell the full story in my mind. For example, it would be interesting to know the total number of players from each conference who were eligible for the draft as a percentage of those drafted. As well as the number of players who were Juniors or Seniors.

How does the ACC look without FSU?

FSU was #1 in the country this year in NFL Draft Picks with 11.

Maybe the biggest shock was that former Big East, former AAC school, Louisville was 2nd in the nation with 10 players selected (5 were selected in the last 2 rounds: 6th and 7th )

A somewhat surprising Florida was 3rd with 8.

Another ACC team was tied for 4th with 7 draft picks, Miami, along with Alabama.

3 out of the 14 (15 including ND) ACC schools had 29 out of the 47 draft picks.

No Big Ten schools were in the Top 9 for most NFL Draft Picks in 2015.

NOTE: Clemson did have 5 players selected...including 2 in the First Round. (ACC is very top heavy...with just a few teams making up 75% of that conference's NFL Draft Picks)

Its simple, ACC has better athletes with more NFL potential. Big Ten may be a good conference but it lacks overall athleticism. The faster players are down south with Miami, Louisville, Clemson, FSU in addition to GT, Duke are developing players. Dont forget about VT. They are horrible on offense but produce NFL talent on defense.
