Very proud my daughter enters RU EMSOP as a freshman. We live out of state and my wife and I are thinking to buy something close by when we visit but also in a year she can live in and go to school. I have tried to read NJ law on instate residence and it appears one has ti live for a year in NJ before can claim instate. I don’t think renting off campus qualifies. Could this approach work if we establish this is her primary residence? Thx for insights.
