That was probably the best sports event I have ever witnessed. A guy weighing only 130lb ate 62 hotdogs and defeated probably the greatest athlete America has ever produced in Joey Chestnut.

Wasn't a huge upset.
Guy was the number 2 eater in the world.
Chestnut was awful today as well.

Biggest upsets I can remember might be. NY Jets , a 17 point underdog, beating the Baltimore Colts in SuperBowl III, US Hockey team beating the Soviet Union at the Lake Placid Olympics, Appalachian St beating Meat Chicken in College Football , and maybe RU basketball upsetting Wisconsin this past season.

1. Francis Ouimet, a caddie, wins the 1913 US Open over Ted Ray, Harry Vardon, Macdonald Smith, Walter Hagen, and John McDermott.

2. 1980 USA Hockey over the Soviets

3. 8th Seeded Villanova Beats Ewing led #1 Georgetown for the NCAA basketball championship

Eating is a sport? Then I met many hall of famers in my life.

How about NAIA Chaminade (800 students at the time) beating #1 NCAA Virginia in MBB in the early 80s?

A colossal waste of food...that's what that pointless event in CI is...
