Such a dumb post from a Pompton Lakes boy? I hang my head in shame. Must live in the chemical plume part of town...
World Series is a crap shoot even if your team is a powerhouse but it's nice to see the organizational depth with the Mets considering - you know - the owners of the team are broke.
Darnaud goes down and up comes this kid Plawecki who looks like a 5 year vet. Wheeler blows his elbow out and their pitching staff is still up their with just about anybody. Nice group of young power arms in the minors just waiting for their shot.
Credit to Alderson. Shows sometimes money isn't everything.
The best baseball seasons are the ones where the Yankees and Mets are both good. Hope the Yanks hold up their end of the bargain.
Indeed te World Series is a crapshoot. Loads of teams have the best team in baseball and don't even make the series. Since I'm a Mets fan (and no longer in Passaic County BTW but had lots of Mets company there) I can name two Mets teams that were than was - 1988 and 2006. As sometimes happens sometimes you run into one of those teams of destiny like the 88 Dodgers and the 06 Cardinals.
