Rutgers Law receives $1 million gift

This tidbit from the article kills me:

"According to a Montclair State spokeswoman, Meaghan Morin, for the year 2000 the university received $4,669 per student in direct annual operating support from the state. By this September that amount per student will be $2,068."

What's the point of being a state school at that point...

This is the truth. At some point alot of schools are going to get to the point where they are public schools only in name. Ironically, its the big state schools leading the way, since they have large revenue streams beyond state funding.
