If there was one primary recurring suggestion at the first two meetings of the inaugural Rutgers Fan Advisory Board, it was this: Up the school’s presence at the Jersey Shore during the summer.
Once in the hands of Rutgers officials, the idea took on a life of its own and thus was born the idea to have school representatives walk all 34.1 miles of Jersey Shore boardwalk in July as part of the “R Shore Tour.”

Great idea. My next question would be ... who's part of the tour?

Collections of student-athletes, coaches and school officials are scheduled for the different trips, with cheerleaders, dance team members and the Scarlet Knight mascot on hand for additional support.
“We’re trying to drive some people to find us,” Brown said. “It’s going to be a very social media (heavy) day. We’re going to be sending out Facebook and Twitter posts telling people, ‘Hey, we’re on 10th Avenue in Cape May walking north. Come find us if you’ve got your Rutgers gear on.’”

I mean, are they going to announce, "Hey, Kyle Flood's going to be here today." "Julie Hermann's going to be here." "Barchi's going to be here." Or is it just show up and find four water girls from the football team with Tom Luicci?
