Hello,

I'm working on creating a class based on Rutgers History for the Rutgers History Department. A portion of one of the lessons will be focused on the Rutgers marching band, so we're looking for old footage of the band, as far back as possible. Does anyone have access to movie footage of the band in the years between 1915 and 1966? Or does anyone know know where I can find it?

Also, putting a poll, just curious, feel free to ask questions about the course.

Have you tried contacting the band office? RUBAA (band alumni association)? No idea if the footage you're looking for exists. Good luck.

Thank you very much for this suggestion! I have done so after reading your post, but so far, no luck. Found a few photos, but no audio nor video. Still working on this line of inquiry though, the response had several people to follow up with.

We used to videotape each of our performances back in the 80's into the early 90's and all of those were in the athletic bands office on Livingston. Maybe Tim S buried those to cover the evidence that the band was 250 members?! ;)

Unfortunately, I need footage and audio from the earlier portions of the band's history, ending around 1966. My two portions of the class are 1866-1966, and Rutgers athletics.
