They end the half on a 26-5 run to lead by 28 at the half. No way we should have bern a 8 seed if Texas is a 5.

Ugh - won by 51. UConn will soon become, if not already, the team that everyone loves to hate. Just absurd and they are reloading for the next couple of years.

Why is that? Because UConn thrashed Texas worse than they trashed us? That is irrelevant. Seedings are based on your body of work during the season. They are not predictive. Even if we had somehow upset UConn, that does not mean we should have been a higher seed. Eight is what we earned IMO.

Texas was over seeded at 5. They had 10 losses and were only 9-9 in the Big 12 including losses to an ISu, TCU, WVU, Kansas, and OSU who all finished at .500 or lower in that conference. We had 6 losses in a much more balanced conference including 2 to #1 seeded Maryland. Our other losses in conference were to Teams who (with the exception of MSU) went on to the NCAATournament. Our non conference losses were also the highly seeded NCAATeams.

So here's a funny (meaningless) stat: RU doesn't just have the closest losing margin to UConn so far in the tournament, it's not even close:

RU 36
Texas 51
St. Francis 56

Three rounds to go, so lots of opportunity for that to change, but color me surprised.
