USBWA coach of the year award name

Unreal, somebody explain the rational for him winning. TIA. One quick person that comes to mind is...
He didn't win, Staley did.

They are naming the award for him when he retires, most likely because at that point he will have the most wins, most championships and probably the all time best win percentage. Seems deserved to me.

Pat Summitt already has an award named after her, their "courage" award.
 
not sure why this is surprising. The dude has done nothing but win…12 natties and that includes a significant “drought” by UConn standards.
