When do we start giving playing time mostly to the players who will be here next year?

We got a bunch of great transfers in, but the record is what it is.

On Sunday, we play Wisconsin at home for a "race to the bottom" of the B1G.

If we lose that one at home, should we give up on what Eatman can do with the transfers and start playing the underclassman?

We need to name a new coach the day after the last game to try to salvage recruiting and start hitting the transfer portal.

I am not trying to bash or pile on here but having any hope of Eatman making a transformation into Adolph Rupp at this point is wishful thinking. Unless Hobbs hires someone with some real cred with a young energetic vision ( or gets Stringer back and do we really want that at this point ? ) we are going to possibly lose perhaps 4-5 current players to transfer . There are several very good ones to consider who are younger but is that the way to go in our conference? I hope the Stringer debacle is being re evaluated. Pay her off , move on and admit we screwed it up.

Should give up on Tim and name one of the assistants Interim HC.
They should know that they will be taking the fall with Tim at the end of season and a good showing by Rutgers after the change of leadership will make it easier to get another P-5 assistant gig, rather than a lesser one.
Nadine would be my choice, because of her success as the Grambling St HC
she took that program from 10-20 her first season as HC to a 17-14 record in her second, that was the best that school did the previous 6 years.
She left there to join Stringer's staff for the 2016- 2017 season.

Michelle has never been a HC in all the years she's been coaching and it might not be a good idea to place her at the top of pecking list.

Geoff Lanier was a HC many many moons ago at at North Dakota State College of Science where he compiled a record of 109-49 -
But that was a junior college and since he never moved up in the HC ranks , he might just be a not ready for prime time HC and best as an assistant helping the top gun succeed, not the top dog himself .

We need to go in a different direction. The ties to CV need to be broken. Top programs in 2022 and beyond need to get the best available . If that’s a current or past Rutgers player / assistant coach then you do it. In this case replacing an icon Hall of Fame type will make it much tougher for Hobbs.

What makes you think any of the younger players will not be entering the portal ASAP?
Chyna and Liz should be putting out feelers already.

Well we lost to the second worse team in the league ahead of us. Does that qualify as blowup time?
