We played great D yesterday. I don't recall seeing a lot of zone defense this year. How often have we played a 2-3 zone this year? It was very effective. Unfortunately Nebraska kept hitting threes which kept them in the game.

Not first time this year but most extensive use this year.

Nebraska was about 1 for 10 from 3 in the first half before warming up in the second half

It actually wasn't a 2-3 zone, it was a 1-1-3.

These zones rotate and morph a helluva lot. You ma set up in one look but after that there's a lot of "subtext."

The 3/4 court trap was a little unique with the point man actually facing the sideline as opposed to angling the guard towards the trap. I think it confused Nebraska.

Rutgers than dropped back to zone.

In order to press you need to be able to drop back into zone. Much harder to match up out of a zone press falling back into man than a zone
