Rutgers football adds FCS team with famous head coach to future schedule

Her 1766 got your back on this. I echo your thoughts and would NOT allow my son to have played for Vick.
That’s fine . Certainly your right and preference.
But it seems many parents do allow their son to play for Vick. He can’t be all bad
Sounds like you are being critical of the fathers that do allow their child to play at Norfolk state. Shame on you injecting that into this thread

Interview: How defensive-specialist Stasha Carey has applied what she learned from C. Vivian Stringer in her pro career

Where is BKin118? What are his thoughts?

To some degree it doesn't really matter what those people think now (unless, I guess, they were so incredibly fed up they were going to fund a gigantic buyout right now which seems very unrealistic).

Because of the contract situation Pike will get another couple years at least and then it should be much clearer what we have.
So we just sit back and pray and hope?
Both are not a strategy for anything. Let’s not complain about RU athletics and its state moving forward because we are unwilling to operate as a competent program.

Where is BKin118? What are his thoughts?

Well, I've watched RU hoops since my freshman year 1968-69.
Thoughts on this year? Well in retrospect almost impossible to win with freshmen period.
We should have realized that.
Hey the 2 greatest frosh in RU history before these 2 guys were Sellers and Dabney. Both scored 19 and 12 per game in their initial seasons. And they were surrounded with John Somogyi who had 20 pg and the 6'9 Armstead at center who was at 13 pg. You know what their record was? 15-11.
Way different game then and not realistic comparison at all. I understand trying to find answers to explain Pikes melt down but it’s over. We can grasp at straws for a really nice man or look at a WELL compensated coach who is out of his depths.

OT: Your stories of a brush with famous people.

While managing the Jackson Hole airport Forest Service aviation facility during the Yellowstone Fire in '88, I met Harrison Ford (the actor who is also a pilot that had just landed and parked his plane). Later that day met Senator Alan Simpson (R-WY), who came over to encourage his federal employees on the job.

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) came to my office to get a briefing during a very bad fire season in 2000. A great man. His first question to me was "How are the pilots holding up? Are they getting enough rest?

Met a lot of self important people during my tenure in DC, many sincere and some not.

Had a gin and tonic with legendary pilot Bob Hoover (the Right Stuff) after an air show here in Oregon in the 1980's.

"Are More New Jersey Colleges Doomed to Collapse?"

Agree, I'm just going off of what life was reported like at that EU University

If I had to guess a city that's most fun for college students, I'd throw Berlin out there, it's cheap, you can drink on the street, very international, lots of English speaking and English based education.

What I am confident about is British students being absolutely sloshed, they have to be the biggest drinkers out there, or at least more public about it than Aussies who I'd put next and then us and Canadians.

Love Europe, it's beauty, history, etc.
Don't know about living there full time

We have everything we possibly need in the USA
It's the greatest country on earth

I loved my RU experience. But college is getting insanely expensive here and nothing is being done about it.

Europe has better food, more attractive women (and I'm sure women feel the same about European men), the cost of education (and healthcare) is free or close to it, and the sights are mostly more beautiful.

Literally any American who has gone there, spent time there, would tell you that.

More and more people are taking American salaries and living abroad, and not just in Europe. A ton of younger people are living in Mexico and other parts of Latin America and loving it, and retirees moving there.

I didn't study abroad, but I did go to Europe after graduation, and now as an EU citizen try to go back at least once a year. The world is way too big to just stay here, as much as NJ is one of the places where you get more of a global taste.

London isn't my favorite city but the American comments on food there are completely wrong. It's like any big global city, there's plenty of good options.

Also here in NJ if it's over freezing recently it's a cause for celebration lol
