Rutgers football adds FCS team with famous head coach to future schedule

Not getting the analogy . Is your child currently or will be a top flight high school football player that would be offered a scholarship or roster spot at at an HBCU?
If so, congrats

Sorry you don’t understand

You mentioned how you wouldn’t want your child led by someone like Vick …
Her 1766 got your back on this. I echo your thoughts and would NOT allow my son to have played for Vick.

Here is the reality on "running an offense ".....

not to steal @rutgersal playbook.....they probably didn't have to.

The Derkack "signing" was the biggest head scratcher. Guy comes from a program that plays zone and has a big sample size of being a bad shooter. He is a terrible fit. He is a terrible defender AND he can't shoot.
He might be the right fit if his more talented brother chooses Rutgers in 2026.

OT: Your stories of a brush with famous people.

My dad took me to my first Giants game…can’t remember the exact year, but I was young, six or seven so had to be mid-late 80s. It was an absolutely freezing game against the Seahawks and our seats were mezzanine level a few rows in front of one of the suites. I must have looked like a pathetic shivering kid and the people in the suite apparently took pity on us and invited us in. Among them was Joe DiMaggio. I was a bit too young to fully appreciate it, but my dad was starstruck.

Back in the mid-2000s, I played in a golf even up in Montclair. My company was a sponsor which included a celebrity playing with our foursome. It was Ken Daneyko. So got to play nine holes with him. Good guy, very good golfer, and even this Rangers fan appreciated it.

Not the same thing. What Ray did was horrible. But many things can be factors that are not just ingrained into someone. We do not know if Ray had or has a history of abusing women. And an act like that could be driven but individual factors which include drinking and partying.
His wife also has a will and she has been back with him for a decade.
Vick’s crime was against those with no voice or a way to defend themselves or just walk away. It wasn’t a one time factors- it was cruel humanity. That is usually something deeply ingrained.
Both things are terrible but not remotely the same.
didn’t take long for the first Homer Hypocrite to speak up.
