Nice stop on 3rd, but dammit, they ran a nice play on 4th - gutsy call, but I guess they have nothing to lose. They just missed a TD.
Games today weren’t as good but I enjoyed Colorado’s explosive offense and the Clemson/Pitt ending was good. SMU/BC is close for now.I seem to have lost all gusto for college football. I'm not even enjoying any of these games, but only one so far was really good Pitt/Clemson. This Rutgers season was a gut punch and it's like I finally woke up to the fact that, it's never going to happen for Rutgers football. Be it injuries, whatever, something always has to go wrong.
Huge CrowdHey @bac2therac , my attendance prediction was about right? Maybe high at 3,000?

why are you arguing? The bottom line is they have terrific, modern facilities.I posted about that when you mentioned it in another thread. They’re old upgrades in that number. It’s like saying we spent 100M upgrading facilities when we expanded the stadium.
That figure sounds like they were old upgrades in 2009 and 2018 that totaled 86 million and they’ve done some exploration into further renovations of the stadium.
From the article in the student newspaper last summer.
Indiana Athletics has begun to examine potential opportunities for upgrades to Memorial Stadium, per a Monday afternoon press release.
According to the release, IU Athletics partnered with Nations Group — a professional services development firm — to examine areas of development for the stadium. While the project is merely entering an exploratory stage, IU Athletics plans to survey ticket buyers, fans, donors and more regarding methods to enhance the stadium experience.
Since Memorial Stadium became home to Indiana football in 1960, two major renovations have occurred. The first, in 2009, saw the completion of the North End Zone Student-Athlete Development Center, connecting the east and west stands.
Among the topics covered in the survey are a reimagined concourse, new social gathering spaces, upgraded concessions and restrooms, and a series of enhanced premium seating options and locations,” the release said.
Upgraded locker rooms, offices and strength and conditioning spaces concluded the overhaul, and in 2018, Indiana created the IU Excellence Academy in the south end of the stadium. The dual-purpose facility aimed to grant student-athletes improved medical, rehabilitation and nutrition resources while enhancing viewing for spectators with a new “bowl effect.”
The two renovations totaled $86 million, though it is currently unclear how much IU is prepared to spend on this project. According to the release, stakeholders will receive the aforementioned survey beginning Aug. 16.
