OT: NCAA College Football Games Thread 10/29-11/2 Tues-Sat

Rice leading 6-1/4-0 Navy 24-10 with 8 minutes left in 4th Quarter

Baylor wins with a FG at expiration over TCU.
Rice won that game and they fired their coach last week.
Saw the end of the Baylor/TCU game. They went for and made crucial 4th and 9 just around midfield on that drive. If they didn't get it, might have left TCU enough time for a chance at a FG themselves. Aranda looked cooked earlier this year but might do enough to save himself if he can keep it up.

Penn State Fans show up on time

Never’s a long time.

I dislike speculating too much about the future, but if I were forced to do so, I would speculate that at some point, RU will find a way to fund NIL at the same or better level than the elite B1G teams and that will raise RUFB up much, much higher within the conference.

NIL and pay for play makes this possible, where it wasn’t before. But it may take quite some time for RU to find the initial funding. I am pretty sure it won’t be through individual small donations initially, but through businesses. Eventually, if RU can win enough for a decade or so, then there will be more fans and more of those fans will wish to contribute.

The trick will be to find that first infusion of competitive NIL funding.
It doesn't even matter. Even if we found some magical NIL funding source, it would get out and other programs would adapt similarly and we wouldn't advance.

We need to turn the tide through winning and achievement on a razor's edge margin of error. Basically, we need Schiano 1.0 all over again but on a grander scale.
