Post Mortem by Lion - RU vs #23 Illinois

To the eyeball yes. From raw data looking at points scored per possession no.

Which is right?

Open ended question.

Pike is using the data because Martini is out there lately at crunch time.

I dont know what to think.

I do know dortch and grant screw up a lot of switching
Cannot speak to the data. I think Grant and Dortch help a LOT with rebounding, at least. And Grant CAN hit the 3, despite the last couple of games.

Separately, to another comment, in re blocked shots ... Per 40 minutes (FYI, Bailey has 22 blocked shots in Big 10 play, of RU's 47):

Bailey: 2.14 block/40 in Big 10, 1.65/40 overall
Grant: 1.57 blocks/40, 1.43/40 overall
Dortch: 2.22 blocks/40, 2.22 overall (only Big 10 games)
Harper: 0.93 blocks/40, 0.70 overall

Pike 17 wins vs top 25

Since 2020, Greg 2; we are 0-13 against ranked opponents, 0-14 if you include the Gator Bowl. Of those, we are 0-9 combined against Michigan Ohio State and Penn State, not too many programs have had wins against them in the years we lost to them. The other losses we had were Indiana in 20, Michigan State in 21, Iowa in 23 and Illinois by 7 this year. We need a win, it’s an embarrassing statistic, but from where we were after Ash, it’s really not that surprising.
Ya at least we’re not losing 50-0 now.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday Big 10 Games Prediction Thread

I don’t know, I got no dog in this but refs and Tom Izzo and his status, the whole thing is broken. I’ll explain

Oregon pulls ahead in the 2nd half and Michigan State clearly fouls the Oregon but Izzo blows a gasket and gets tee’d up. Oregon couldnt get a call after that, ball goes out on Michigan St, doesn’t matter they get the ball. They foul, calls stop. They get touched they get the call. It’s really unfair and like I said I have no love for Oregon, just how I see it
