If we go winless the rest of the season, and the games are not close…

Is there any chance Gregg would be on the chopping block?

Yes, I know his buyout is massive, and they just signed up to an extension, but that would be taking a significant step back from the last few seasons and specifically, last year

Yes, I know we have an exceptional recruiting class coming in (as of now) and I’m hoping that he can keep it together, but that would be especially challenging if this situation were to happenDo whatever is needed to Finally get RU a winning program.Long overdue

Rutgers New Brunswick students release a 'terrorist-like' message to their school, demanding that the school cut ties with Israel.

Here we go again with the whataboutism. You keep on repeating Pittsburgh, Charlottsville, Poway, and January 6th. Let me make this perfectly clear for you - They are all evil acts and we should eliminate evil. Anyone who kills someone or attempts to kill someone because of racism should be eliminated. I don't care if they're white or not.

Now that you understand how I feel about racism, the evil acts you mention do not make it OK for Hamas to do whatever they want. There's a growing swell of antisemitism going on in the world and I feel I have to say something. That's why I talk about Israel. You're so upset that I fail to mention Pittsburgh every time we talk, but you never mention all the deaths of Arabs in Yemen and Syria. and neither does the media. That just screams racism.

Now that you bring up the left/right, It's true that there are racist on the right, but not everyone on the right is racist. Most on the left are anti-Israel, but not all. Why is that? Is it possible that there are some of the left have looked at the facts and stopped believing the Hamas propaganda? Bernie is a decent man, but he's unaware of a lot of facts. He does believe that Israel has a right to exist and he's upset about the deaths of civilians. Unfortunately, he's pointing the blame at the wrong side. There would be no deaths if Hamas didn't attack.

Here's what Bin Laden believed:
Bin Laden criticized the U.S. for its secular form of governance, calling upon Americans to convert to Islam and reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling, and usury, in a letter published in late 2002. Bin Laden believed that the Islamic world was in crisis and that the complete restoration of Sharia law would be the only way to set things right in the Muslim world. He opposed such alternatives as secular government, as well as pan-Arabism, socialism, communism, and democracy. He subscribed to the Athari (literalist) school of Islamic theology.

Ok. And as Americans, which one is the more immediate threat?

Is it more rational as an American to be concerned by what happens in Pittsburgh, or what happens in Yemen? No offense to Yemen, but seems obvious to me.

Also, what happens in Yemen has nothing to do with Jewish Americans using their First Amendment rights to condemn Israel's behavior.

"Most on the left are anti-Israel"...let's go to a fact check. Please provide evidence of antisemitism from the following- failure to do so would be a concession that that is fabricated:

- Chuck Schumer
- Joe Biden
- Kamala Harris
- Bernie Sanders
- Adam Schiff
- Nancy Pelosi

I can give you more if you like.

What did Bin Laden say about US troops in Saudi? You ignore that.

Why didn't Bin Laden attack any of the far more liberal, far more democratic, far more atheist Western Countries? You ignore that.

Here's more for you to ignore (from presumably anti-Semitic Israeli media) of the world's greatest democracy breaking the law to imperil its own citizens (again).

OT: RIP Bernie Marcus

Considering that Mr. Marcus was knocked off a career track at 49, that's impressive. He had a plan, took a chance, found financing and went for it.
Just looked up Bill Veeck-- how did you become interested in his story?
Interested in him growing up because I was a baseball fan and he always had something crazy going on out at Comiskey Park when he owned the White Sox - the outfield shower, the old-style uniforms with shorts, etc. He was always looking at different ways to get more fans out to the ballpark and entertain them. Disco demolition night didn't work out so well, though.

Is there any chance Gregg would be on the chopping block, or, more likely, when the new president and A.D. come in, given an ultimatum to start winning or else?

OT: RIP Bernie Marcus

Not to football, but:
In Atlanta, his contributions also included the Georgia Tech Marcus Center for Therapeutic Cell Characterization and Manufacturing.

"He dreamed of becoming a doctor. When his family couldn't afford medical school, he enrolled in pharmacy school and received a degree from Rutgers University. Bernie said he'd often cut classes to sell Amana freezers door-to-door."

Did not know this about him--

"The watershed moment in Bernie’s career came when he was fired from Handy Dan in April 1978, along with Arthur and Ron Brill. Bernie was faced with the prospect of reinventing himself at 49. He already had a vision of a one-stop shop for do-it-yourselfers, something that did not exist in the home improvement retail landscape at the time. Investment banker Ken Langone helped secure the financing to get The Home Depot started."

I always find reading bios and stories like this very interesting, especially the ones when someone is knocked on their a$$ and they figure out a new path even later in life. I have this Bill Veeck bio sitting at my house that I haven't gotten around to reading - that may be next.
