I hate the hits like Branch on Bo. But I didn’t think he would be ejected. That being said these players need to have more respect for each other so it sends a message.
I have no good read on this team to make a prediction. It all depends on fast Lathan can grow up and Acuff’s impact, which is unclear because of the injury.
PSU has very high standards. We have the opposite, such low expectations there is no amount of losing will get Schiano fired. A competent AD wouldn’t have hired him in the first place, extended him for nothing results, or let him coach after this year.
They can want him gone but he’s not going anywhere just like many other coaches because of all the ludicrous contracts that have been given out. 56M still owed to him according to USA Today database.
Plus despite not getting to the absolute top of the sport, they’ll likely be making playoffs multiple times with CFP expansion. I think that should be good enough for awhile. IIRC Franklin would’ve made like 5 or so playoffs if they were 12 teams back from 2014.
