Tailgating for hoops games

Used to only see if for big games
The SHU game on a Saturday in the pouring rain when Greg made his halftime speech comes to mind

Last few yeas though, it's become more prevalent
Wagner game there were a ton of people doing it

Being that today's high is approaching 70 and sunny, and it's the last really nice day for the foreseeable future, I'll probably take part myself today
Anyone else do it?

If we go winless the rest of the season, and the games are not close…

Is there any chance Gregg would be on the chopping block, or, more likely, when the new president and A.D. come in, given an ultimatum to start winning or else?

Yes, I know his buyout is massive, and they just signed up to an extension, but that would be taking a significant step back from the last few seasons and specifically, last year

Yes, I know we have an exceptional recruiting class coming in (as of now) and I’m hoping that he can keep it together, but that would be especially challenging if this situation were to happen

OT: 11th hour of the 11 day of the 11th month - WWI unofficially ends

Armistice Day is established as a day of remembrance and contemplation in honor of the 40 million that died in WWI.

In November 1919, President Woodrow Wilson commemorated Armistice Day, saying that Americans would reflect on the anniversary of the armistice “with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations….”

Woodrow Wilson establishes the League of Nations to help prevent future wars. The USA, however, fails to join.

Three years later, WWII begins.

In 1954, Congress changes the name of Armistice Day, to Veterans Day.

“Let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us reconsecrate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain.” - Dwight Eisenhower

Thank you, veterans of all wars (including my dad and my uncle's service during the Korean War and WWII).

Chyna, and Destiny

What a game. In 15 minutes she had 15 boards. Can you imagine if she had a real coach to help her out? Entire coaching staff looks mummified.
Destiny Adams.

If things continue to trend here , say 5-7 this year , then 4-8 next year (reasonable prediction based on team and schedule) , we should have a new AD and new president as well as who knows if the BIG and SEC separate even further, he’s our guy.

I would think if in a few years we we trend backwards , every coach outside of the big and sec could be on the table for us, nobody is gonna want to coach outside of it.

No chatter about the upcoming game?

Yikes. Take away Tango's posts and this isn't a football board. It's a collection of random posts.

Are we going to see some changes on offense and defense this week or are we going to stay the course?

Minnesota scares me because they will throw to their RB and TE. I'm praying that we participate on defense and go in thinking that we'll need at least 30 points on offense (and plan accordingly).

I'll be very surprised and happy if we win this game but I want to see some fight.

Rutgers Entire Team on Minny Sideline After The Game

Anyone know why the entire team went over to the Minnesota sideline after the game for a very long time? Staff were running around the field to make sure straggler players who were on other parts of the field or headed into locker room ran over and joined. It appeared that every player and staff member eventually were gathered up close for several minutes. Folks around me all looked at each other like what is going on. Don’t remember seeing this before. It finally broke up and players and staff crossed the field and headed to the locker room.
