Defense lost 5 NFL Draft Picks

  • Toure
  • Powell
  • Longerbeam
  • Rogers
  • Lewis
Certainly not an insignificant number of defenders. Losing 1 or 2 is bad enough. Losing 5 is Catastrophic, because its 45% of our defense. Their replacements will continue to do the best they can, but it won't be easy because they have learning curves, and are getting acclimated to this level of play. Not a coincidence that after Lewis went down, their back kept bouncing out to Lewis' side for big gains.

Not only are we losing these players, we're losing their experience, their maturity, their leadership, and the time they spent developing. Intangibles that are impossible to quantify. Some of the replacements are reacting to what they see, rather than instinctively positioning themselves to make the play. Lots of tackles are happening downfield, rather than in the backfield, for a TFL. So we just have to be patient, while the newbies develop. What other choice do we have?

OT: We may win the World Cup in 2026

Our kids are really rounding into form. Pulisic, McKennie, Reyna, Dest are all world class right now and they are so young. Adams is right there too. Then you have Musah who has come out of nowhere to look great. I think Richards will make the jump and pair up with Brooks. We are a great full back and striker away from having true studs at every position and we have depth. The striker part has me a little worried. Hoping Weah or Sargent can make the leap. Julian Green is also making noise and starting to fulfill the promise. He should get another look.

Olympic gold medal champion gymnast from NJ commits to LSU

Hezly Rivera of Oradell commits to LSU, she announced on Instagram last week.

"I am so blessed & excited to announce that I have verbally committed to Louisiana State University (LSU🙃) on a full athletic scholarship."

Hezly is a high school junior and aims to compete in LA in 2028, so it could be 5 years before she joins the LSU team, according to a report.

Pike proved the top recruits in the country can be attracted to Rutgers to compete in the RAC.

Would be super for Rutgers to work to get Hezly to change her commitment to Rutgers. College gymnasts usually stick around for four years and getting a gold medalist in the squad would be revolutionary for the program.
