You have to wonder if Florida State would like to compete in the SEC and Big Ten?

It's horrible. Any team that has as many penalties as we do has bad coaching. It's always been that way and that rule applies here. Schiano is not a modern day football coach. He's so accepting of wasting downs. Offensive football is about getting as many plays off as you can. 2 entire minutes and Schiano sits on the ball. I can't think of any other coach in the country that wouldn't try to score there being down 7. His reason? He didn't want to go down by more. That's a losers mentality not to mention the terrible message it sends to his team. I don't believe in you. I can't believe he actually did that. Even for him that's just coaching so scared.

MSU isn't even good, but the score makes it look that way. Just an embarrassing performance from the staff. Anyone holding out hope that some hot shot OC is going to come in here and work under this overly restrictive philosophy is fooling themselves. No accomplished OC is coming here with Schiano as HC.

I do not follow soccer but of course it is in the news now because of the World Cup. I do know that FIFA is the corrupt governing body going and the whole controversy of Qatar hosting has been news for a while. The last couple days I have been reading how FIFA threatens nations about what their players can wear and might disqualify players if they don't listen to their mandates.

Question is this, why can't the major nations splinter away from FIFA and start anew and pull the power from those that are being paid off and corrupt. Has this been tried in the past?

Rutgers better not let another team beat us to the punch like Notre Dame did at Yankee Stadium. We should be the first college football team to break the stadium in. Not Syracuse and not Notre Dame.

Obviously the score was bad but instead of posting about the negatives, i took some positives from today and maybe others dont see them or care, but i have been watching for many years, and there were things we did today that we were unable to do in most of the meetings with penn state.

1. We got to the QB and sacked him several times. If you look at psu’s offensive numbers, they were not eye popping. The turnovers were very costly. Our defense let up a few big plays, but i think they tired out and if you have 3-4 turnovers plus a kick return for a score, it gets frustrating and let your guard down for a moment, and the differential in score gets out of hand. Same happened in the Michigan game.

2. We were able to move the ball and importantly, we had sharp passes over the middle that we haven’t seen in quite some time. We didnt knock the cover off the ball in the running game, but saw movement. Alot of times it wasnt 1st down that killed us. We had drives where we ran for 6-7 yards on first down. But tried the same run up the middle on 2nd down and got stopped for no gain.


I think we had some bad breaks. The off sides call that should have been a recovered fumble was deep in their territory and we didn’t capitalize on the avery young hit and fumble. Overall, penn state has a good defense. I think we need to have a deeper play book to overcome their blitzes on 3rd down. You can’t just roll to the right and throw the ball away. Its the same play on every 3rd and long and we didnt use any other alternative.

Its always hard to be positive when you dont see the immediate results but penn state made Tulia look like a freshman last week and Maryland put up zero points.

In a NJ.COM article explaining why they signed no one in the early signing period. He basically blamed Seton Hall’s lack of NIL and the reason they whiffed on every target. He also said they were in it with 5 or 6 guys but the s hook that was eventually picked had “more” to offer. We also whiffed on everyone except and thank god for that a kid who grew up in a similar place and circumstance than our head coach.

Must've missed this in all the craziness over past few days with team coverage, but Kentucky has sent out an offer to 2023 Florida linebacker commit Abram Wright the other day. This could be something to watch as I did confirm he made a trip to NC State (another recent offer) back in early October.

Sounds like he’s the likely guy to be our permanent OC. A mistake IMHO. While I have no doubt he’s a fine coach and is not responsible for this mess, we need to send a message and go in a complete different direction. Hire a new coach and let him bring in his own assistants. We need to clean house on offense. How about the guy from JMU? UCF? Even ECU?

So to switch things up from the toxicity of this week's post game threads, how about some recruiting. Since it seems we are exploring a late 23 QB addition, how about another local kid in Dante Torres from St. Anthony's in NY. Kid has a little more size than Grusser, our latest offer at QB for 2023. Arm strength appears to be slightly better too. And he's pretty athletic. Feels pressure and moves well to avoid the rush. Seems to have more upside than Grusser.

Interesting matchup

I’m listening to people talk about our RBs and pretend like Sam Brown would’ve ran all over Michigan or Penn State. Sam Brown is a stud but I think our problem is the line. I’m watching Pacheco run all over NFL teams and I remember people hating on him when he was at Rutgers. How many players on our line woudl start on another B1G team?

This probably has a simple answer, but I wanted to check:

My 2010 Toyota Prius does not have daytime running lights. (Later Priuses do.) My wife would like me to have the headlights on during the day for the sake of safety. Is there any problem with doing this? My guess (I could be wrong) is that headlights are a bigger drain on the battery than daytime running lights. Are they, and is the difference big enough that I shouldn't have headlights on during the day? Is there any other reason it might not be good to have headlights on during the day? Thanks so much!
