Watching GG through the year I have noticed his ability to jump and block shots ; as well as sky for rebounds. With that in mind, how do those of you on this message board feel about playing him closer to the basket; eg strong forward or even center?
If one looks at the 3 players with the highest 3 point shooting percentages, which one of them can get themselves open for a 3 point shot. In my opinion neither of them. That's why you need an offensive scheme that gets them open!!!!
I agree that a player doesn't just get worse by arriving at RU. I always look for reasons why someone gets worse. My guess is something changed in his life That new thing is the recent arrival of a newborn. Could he be sharing night feeding duties with his significant other. Tell me how an...
I agree with almost everything you have written here. A good coach adapts his schemes to the strengths of his players. For one Griffith can't get himself open for 3 pointers. Where are the plays to accomplish this? Our guards save for one are not good 2 person pick and rolls players. Iowa has...
Let's face it; Cliff has a forwards body and unfortunately, can't shoot. Establishing position is difficult for him because of lack of bulk or enough strength. He is a dunking machine, but only with guards knowing how to pass to him.
Cliff's improvement in this game was Mag. I think Cliff is very close to Mag and the laters return meant a lot to Cliff. You could see Cliff's glee whenever Mag got a score or rebound.
Don't you think Knight will be gone after this season or for sure next season? No amount of money will keep him here if offered a head coaching position at an upper level school.
I am not talking about his security as RU's coach. The recruits coming in don't need development as players like the usual 3 star recruits. Two of these recruits are superstars. They came to RU to win next year, not in two to three years. He will be under tremendous pressure to not only WIN NOW...
Rutgers in the final four; or at least the sweet 16! There are all kinds of predictions for our basketball team next year. Euphoria is rampant since Dylan Harper's commitment yesterday. Whether one likes Steve Pikiell's coaching abilities or not the expectations for next year are very high...
I would transfer after this year and go to a school where the coach can teach him better moves around the basket. He has not improved at all in this regard since he came to Rutgers. If better coaching still can't make a difference; at least he will know where he stands for the future.
GW is a nice kid; he's very young; give him time; coaches want to limit him taking chances; etc. etc. The point is, this QB is a big failure, in his own right as well as in our own coaches estimation of his potential. How this issue is resolved by the coaches will depend on whether they are...
Of course I watched the game to the end. I was ecstatic that they won. I still don't think Wimsatt is more than a 2 star QB. The defense and Monangai won us this game, not Wimsatt.
Exactly! A lot of individuals keep saying ultimately his mother will decide. Money rules everything these days and MOM is no different. A big payday will change her opinion about Rutgers. Loyalty, a good education, pride in your home state etc., etc. are meaningless these days. Money rules!!!!!
The fact that he keeps stalling means he is truly enticed by the other offers and is unlikely to come to Rutgers. If it were not for Dylan's brother rutgers would have absolutely no chance. If this kid were coming here he would have already committed. Too bad.
I don't consider 15/35, in his last game, highly accurate. Guess what, bad mechanics are a major part of accuracy. One has to wonder, that if after this length of time, his mechanics will ever improve enough to lead to improved accuracy.
