    About five years ago, I took a suggestion on this board about a home inspector and he worked out great. He took 3-4 hours to do the inspection, provided a very thorough report and left hang tags on significant shut-off valves (e.g., water, furnace, etc.) that still hang to this day. Aurora...

    I'd second Hoboken. Great location and very convenient to the city. A great side benefit is that you can rent your place out for major sporting/cultural events for some side income.
