OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

Quality of life is what you make of it. Today is a cakewalk compared to the entirety of human history. If you want to say things were better for a ten year window somewhere around the 90s I could get on board, but in general life in the USA in 2024 is among the gentlest, softest spaces to exist...

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

Schools are a reflection of public life, of the society in which they operate. As we regress as a society, so does our schooling. And we certainly are regressing.

Is this still a Football Forum ?

Personally, the evolution of the purpose of this board mirrors how I feel about the program. It was hard to remain engaged during the slow decline after Schiano 1.0, and then the precipitous drop during Ash, the weekly beatdowns in our own house, and now with the portal and NIL, it's really hard...

    Rutgers ends covid vaccination requirements

    Disgraceful. An unparalleled embarrassment.

OT: Minor to Moderate (2-4?) Snowfall Likely Sat morning (2/17); will be <32F, so expect slick roads

Probably will be offset by some settling and melting. Might snow another half inch but I don't know if it will accumulate another half inch.

OT: Minor to Moderate (2-4?) Snowfall Likely Sat morning (2/17); will be <32F, so expect slick roads

Just measured. 11.75 for me. Don't think I will make it to a foot but we will see. Then I literally blew the snow away off my deck railing. Cleared all 12" with the wind in my lungs.

EPIC! I might have a foot in Readington. Cleared it with a BROOM.

OT: Another Minor/Moderate,Snow Event on Friday (1/19); Still Some Uncertainty

Anyone's guess. You know the drill with IVTs. 2-3 statewide, stripe of 4-5 somewhere, probably a touch N and E of where currently depicted. At the moment, on hiatus. 2 kids, 2 businesses, 2 busy!

    OT: Snow? - January 15-16?

Yeah David Burke is overseeing 3 different concepts that will share 1 liquor license. At least there will finally be somewhere to get a glass of wine downtown. That said, viva la rooster!

    OT: Snow? - January 15-16?

Where exactly are you? I manage Unionville Vineyards and am venturing over there in a couple hours unless the back roads are iced up.

    Hooray, they did it!

    OT: Snow? - January 15-16?

Agree. According to the hi-res models we reach our high temp in about 2 hours, and then we start sliding down. THere will be plenty of moisture on the roads still.

Freezing rain up to Flemington right now, and I'm at 26F. Yike

Football Deep Dive Comparison: Gavin Wimsatt versus Athan Kaliakmanis

Gavin was the better talent coming out of HS, he was the more sought after recruit, he is the incumbent at the better program. He will continue to mature and if we have coaches worth a lick, develop. If Gavin doesn't keep the job it is as much an indictment of the program as it is of him.

    Thug U

What is up with two dead ball blindside cheap shots on our boys? One of them knocked Longerbeam out for a series. Committed by #3 Boy George, and I for a minute thought he was getting karma'd on that 30 yard fumble circus play. Culture problem in Miami. Was very glad to see Beam at the end...

    Sanity from the RU administration

Just wanted to ruffle some feathers ;-)

    Sanity from the RU administration

If electric vehicles, Larry Doby, and multiple threads about a minor league sport like the NHL go on this board, then so does current events on the Rutgers campus.

OT: NJ playing catch up in the Craft Beer business.

The wineries funded and created their own, similar app. The way it should be. Private businesses collectivizing their own resources and marketing cooperatively on their own dime, not that of taxpayers.
