    BigTen vs SEC TV Viewership

Both USC and UCLA are South of Maryland. The Big Ten is easily the MOST national conference. Or at least, the national conference with teams that fans actually care about.

    BigTen vs SEC TV Viewership

As of the most recent season, the SEC has the most viewers. And they definitely have the most viewers per school. "Markets" are not the same as actual viewers. I am not speculating on what the 2024 numbers will be.

    BigTen vs SEC TV Viewership

I would want FSU for the Big Ten. Helps with recruiting and keeping the Big Ten as the only national football conference. I am less interested in Miami. I think that entire city may be underwater in 50 years.

    BigTen vs SEC TV Viewership

That doesn't quite tell the entire story. The SEC has more viewers; but the Big Ten's viewers are worth more on average to advertisers. A homeowner in NJ or Maryland will generally have more disposable income than a homeowner in Arkansas or Georgia.

OT: New Music (Released January 2020 or Later)

I am CHEATING. I became AWARE of this obscure song in the past couple of years. And it SOUNDS like an indie rock song from 2022. BUT, it is actually over 50 years old. Does anyone here have a cool wife or girlfriend? If so, she will like it.

College football offenses continue declining in key categories resulting in lowest-scoring season since 2009

Related: college defenses finally catching up to pass oriented offenses.

    OT: Suggestions/Computer

Much more expensive than what you get with a desktop with graphics card (I own both). Of course, a laptop has the advantage of being able to take with you or use while you are lounging in bed, etc. The $750 option in this video is a good starting place. That may be all you need.

    OT: Suggestions/Computer

I disagree. The OP sounds like the type of person who doesn't want to spend more than $800 on his personal computer. You get a lot more bang from your buck spending $800 on a PC from Microcenter or Cyberpower than you do spending $800 on a Mac. Mac owners are sort of like Tesla owners...

Taylor Swift is worrying some people, and they feel they need to go on the offensive.

OT: 50 % of college fb viewership comes from 18 teams

It won't include basketball. Football will be the sole sport to split off IMO, because that is where 85% of the college sports profit resides.

OT: 50 % of college fb viewership comes from 18 teams

I am not sure anyone has determined what is the optimal number of schools as far as a profit for a College Football Champions Division. 32? 48? 64? The NFL has teams that usually make the playoff (Pittsburgh, Dallas, etc) propping up franchises that seldom make the playoff. So, it...

OT: 50 % of college fb viewership comes from 18 teams

Ohio State needs to win it all this year. If they don't, their donors are going to feel like the Buckeyes are A&M North. If Ohio State somehow loses to Michigan again in November, Ryan Day may go down in college football history as the coach with the best overall winning percentage to be fired.

    OT: Harbaugh to Chargers

Sherrone Moore is also the OC. He is young, but he has been calling plays for 3/4 years at this point.

    OT: Home Audio/Video Discussion

This might have something to do with both my age and tastes, but I am not in favor of combining video and audio systems. I am not interested in spending $4 grand on "Dolby surround sound" to watch movies. The Third Man, The Best Years Of Our Lives, and The Last Detail don't improve...

OT: California moves closer to becoming first state to ban tackle football for kids under 12

If this keeps young kids playing some form of football, I think it may be a good thing. Parents are increasingly reluctant to allow their grade school aged kids to play full contact football. And that may eventually choke off the sport.

OT: California moves closer to becoming first state to ban tackle football for kids under 12

Ha... You are the one who stated that Pop Warner was the equivalent of getting hit with a nerf ball. Make up your mind.

OT: California moves closer to becoming first state to ban tackle football for kids under 12

Back in my Somerset Hills Pop Warner days, I remember teammates' broken bones, and for me a dislocated thumb and a nasty pinched nerve in my neck. I don't think your Pop Warner team was playing manball.
