    Tyson Acuff - incoming transfer

JMike had as good a shooting percentage as Hyatt, and a better shooting percentage than Simpson, Noah, and Gavin. He shot poorly from the foul line and from the arc (22%) but he only took one 3-pointer per game, so his long-range shots didn’t hurt us much at all. Contrast that with Hyatt who...

Question: what does this team need in a Transfer Center

One trait I would love to see from our center position is good hands. We left so many points and possessions on the table by not having Cliff catch passes, rebounds, and 50/50 balls cleanly. Same with Ogbole. From his tape it appears that Lathan has all the tools (dribble, pass, shoot) from...

Question: what does this team need in a Transfer Center

Watching Clingan in the NCAA tournament reinforced the value of a prolific shot-blocker, who can be a tremendous deterrent for opposing players trying to score at the rim. It changes the whole dynamic of an opposing team’s offense, when they have to settle for lower percentage shot attempts...

Sporting News Way too early top 25

To me, this is simply a list of “Teams to Watch” at the start of next season. No harm in being on that list.

...College is going to be something scary. I don’t think anyone wants to see us. I’m going to put it out now.”

He was answering a specific question from a reporter (paraphrasing): “Lots of Rutgers fans watching tonight. What was it like playing with your future teammate, Ace Bailey, and having the chance to build some chemistry on the court?” I think Dylan showed more than just confidence. He showed...

...College is going to be something scary. I don’t think anyone wants to see us. I’m going to put it out now.”

Listen to the whole clip. That was one sentence in the middle of his bigger message that he and Ace are blessed to be able to spend as much time together as possible, on and off the court, even before college. Taken in context, his statement was fine.

BB Recruiting Rutgers Basketball lands Princeton transfer forward Zach Martini

Very good addition. We need to surround Ace and Dylan with veteran talent in positions of need. Pike is doing that well so far. A legit center will put us over the top.

    Tyson Acuff - incoming transfer

I like this pickup. We had 4 slots to fill and Pike filled one of them with a 6’4 veteran guard who was the 8th leading scorer in the nation. Just getting started…

    Tyson Acuff - incoming transfer

At the very least Acuff is replacing some of the minutes and shots from our guards who left — Simpson, Noah, and Austin.

    Tyson Acuff - incoming transfer

You’ll notice he played too many minutes for EMU, averaging almost 38 minutes per game. With more intermittent rest I’m sure his 3pt shooting percentage will improve, especially in the second half of games. Also, with our other scoring options on the floor in Ace and Dylan, he won’t need to...
