Safe to assume this is the first time these four guys have been arrested.

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

You can type as many words as you want. You said TEACHERS are hurt by the cap. They are not. The rest is just justification. Teachers aren’t administrators any more than minor League players are in the MLB

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

Maybe somebody who researched it. Lol It’s all public knowledge. People in this thread saying they know teachers who can’t get jobs….. in small south jersey towns. Shocker. Drove north to Paterson or Newark. Jobs a plenty.

Meh. You posted it as if it was a restriction it’s not. If the cap doesn’t actually come into play how is it a similar component?

I understand that but in this context, a poster claimed teachers were capped similar to SS.

Which is why adding the fake SS cap on max is a joke

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

In my case, I would definitely have made more investing it myself vs SS. But SS isn’t meant for me, it’s a safety net for our seniors. I’m fully comfortable knowing that I will probably never see $1 of SS in my life. I’m 47, by the time I’m 70 I’m sure Washington will Have legislated my money away.

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

Not sure what point you are trying to make. Again, if you followed along you would know that link doesn’t help. A few posts ago, someone stated teachers pensions are capped. Well they are capped at 168k a year. That cap is obviously for show as this entire thread is people complaining that...

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

Which is 168k. We have an entire thread talking about how teachers don’t get paid enough. So how many teachers are making 168k? If you work 30 years I believe that’s like 7600

You don’t need to be a “hard core right winger” to know rainbow flags have no place in a classroom but you do you.

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

Fair enough. I could have worded it better. Assume you paid to contribution for 25 years, retire ant 50, and don’t collect until 70. That’s almost 300k minus interest just sitting for 20 years.

Cobra is only for like 18 months though.

Annual Benefit = 54.5 percent X last year or highest 12 months of salary; orAt least 35 years of service at age 55 or older. Annual Benefit = Years of Service ÷ 55 X Highest 12 Months of Salary. Doesn’t say anything about being capped

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

Since you are very knowledgeable on this stuff maybe you can answer a question for me because I’ve been told different things. If my wife retires after 10 years, does that allow us to purchase her existing health insurance going forward?
  18. vkj91

OT: Any Burned Out Teachers in Here?

SS is capped. I will never come close to getting out of it what I put in. Age 62: The maximum benefit is $2,710 per month Full retirement age: Between 66 and 67, the maximum benefit is $3,822 per month Age 70: The maximum benefit is $4,873 per month, but only if you wait until 70 to start...

Ok. So wants his pension per year for the next 30 years? People ignore the fact you’d need to have saved millions to get that type of return in retirement

yesrutgers01 95- you really have some weird takes on life...So- classes may run 6 hours or so- I don't know a single teacher that punches their clock in and out with the students. Most are working late at night grading papers, setting up the next day- continued education, attending school...
