Going into halftime only down 2 is a minor miracle. Getting dominated in every phase except in goal. Stoller the only bright spot in this game. Without him this game is ugly.

The blueprint is on tape. Short the two attackmen and slide early on the other 4. Were have no answer. When teams double we should have easy looks on the crease but we never do. We certainly give them up on defense though.

I would agree in previous games attack was a big issue. Not that it wasn’t an issue in this game but every time Scott or the middies initiated Hopkins slid immediately. The dodgers dumped to adjacent but we never had any cutters. If the first cutter is covered then the backside crease or second...

Our offensive scheme relies too much on individual effort. That can work when you are getting goals in transition, keeping the defense on their heels and play strong defense. But we are not a transition team and our defense is weak. If we are going to play a ball control 6v6 offense, we need to...

they figured out our zone, which I knew they would.

Good individual effort but we have to be looking for the dump off on the doubles. Kulas was wide open on the crease.

Irlan is in the shooters heads. Trying to be too perfect.

We need Kulas to be on. The way they are sliding, if we can make the correct adjustments there should be a lot of catch and shoot opportunities which is his specialty.

Defense is a disaster. Nothing left to say. Our offense consists of Scott and our mids going one on one. They either shoot or dump it off and someone else redodges. Hopkins is simply sliding early from the crease and filling adjacent. We are not getting nearly enough off ball movement. As soon...

    Maryland @ Michigan

Maryland goes down in Ann Arbor, 12-11. Maryland had a chance to tie it up but Michigan’s goalie came up with a big stop. B1G is going to be a grind.

Good back and forth. 12-11 Michigan with 1 to go. Michigan fogo handling Wierman. Solid goaltending on both sides. Michigan defense is legit.

I agree. He had been playing at a high level and feasting off the shorty. He got some looks but was obviously off. We need him. He is a great weapon as the third midfield option.

I think so. We were definitely playing some form of zone in the second half. If probably helped tighten up the defense, in a large extent because UMass likely did not plan on seeing us in zone. I can’t recall the last time I’ve seen a Rutgers team play any form of zone defense. Not a long term...

Stoller MVP. A lot to work on but better off a win than a loss. On to the B1G meat grinder
