    NJ.com Schiano Article

I skimmed through the article. The headline is obvious click bait. The there are two separate issues. One is the issue that the headline invents. NJ tax payers contribute very little to what GS makes. We have been down this road 100 times. People continue to assume that state colleges are...

Dylan Gooden (Yes, related) Official Visit June 10-12

I ran into Doc at the Wawa on Stelton a couple of years ago. He was super nice. I was in high school in 84 and it was amazing to watch him take the hill every 5th day for my Mets. After years of living in the shadow of that other team, we had the most exciting player in the game on our side.

    OT: High School Track Advice

I know it sounds simple, but your son having a conversation with the coach clearly stating his preference is where he needs to start. If your son is one of the stronger members of the distance team it probably won’t help, but there are a lot of kids who run XC and the 400. One thing I will...

OT: What is a portmanteau? Hint... Delran is one.

The dam on Duhernal was built by DuPont, Hercules and National Lead to serve as a water source for all three companies in Sayreville. There is a well field surrounding the lake and the smaller adjacent lakes. The lakes serve as a recharge area for the well field.

OT: What is a portmanteau? Hint... Delran is one.

Easy one for the locals: DuPont, Hercules, and National Lead. It’s not just in spotswood. It’s also in Old Bridge and East Brunswick. It was privately owned until until recently. I believe it now belongs to the Sayreville water Department. It would make a really nice county park.

OT: Hunt For Red October Released In Theaters 30 Years Ago Today

Two pages and no one chipped in with “you arrogant ass, you’ve killed us.” I’ll stop and watch it whenever it’s on tv. Very good movie.

OT:..update: Our guy just ran the 2nd fastest time in NCAA ever....AGAIN TODAY!

RU has some elite athletes, but not nearly enough for a Big 10 program. This was a DIII meet. And to be honest, the issue with your argument is that the elite distance runners in the state aren’t running for RU. For RU to get to the next level they need to start bringing in state champions in...

OT:..update: Our guy just ran the 2nd fastest time in NCAA ever....AGAIN TODAY!

Taj is an amazing runner, but he isn’t that big.

OT: ND QB Jurkovic Enters The Portal

If transferring for playing time and to be close to your girlfriend constitutes grounds for a hardship case..... Let’s just say that the NCAA should just eliminate the formality and let everyone who transfer play their first year.

    Kratch: Schiano's Dream Team

That is were he primarily coached in the NFL for three different teams. He is more qualified (on his resume) there than as an OC.

    Kratch: Schiano's Dream Team

He may have a better job with dad, but he may get more credit on the resume by stepping out and doing it for someone else. It all depends on what his goals are.

    Kratch: Schiano's Dream Team

McNulty as QB coach might make financial sense. Aren’t we already paying him? Not saying it will happen or even can happen, but from that aspect it isn’t a bad thought.

Flood is no longer to blame

Obviously they both failed. But Flood was hired as a stop gap measure on the cheap. When you shop at harbor freight, don’t expect top of the line quality. Ash was supposed to be a legit DI candidate. He was paid well for a first time coach. And he failed miserably at every aspect of the job...

Announcer with a bullsh*t comment that they wondered about the hit. Must have been during the tv time out.

Football LIVE GAME THREAD: RU vs. UM

Surprised no one commented that Art looked a little woozy coming off the field. That hit was clearly helmet to helmet.

OT: Fyi..RU wrestling beat Princeton 19 to 18.

Respectfully, with regard to track, both the men and women finished last in the conference indoors last year. The men were 10th and the women were last outdoors. Long way to go for both teams in a sport in which NJ high schools export a lot of talent. It looks like recruiting is picking up...

Preferred Walk On - A Little Help

Only allowed a certain number of kids in camp (105?). 85 kids on scholarship + current walk-ons means there are not a lot of spaces available in camp. Perfered walk on gets one of those spots. After camp breaks they can expand the roster.

OT: Potential Weekend (Jan 19-20) Snow Storm Thread

I was in high school. If I recall correctly they sent us home early on a Friday, we were off Monday and Tuesday and delayed the rest of the week - or something close to that. It got warm after the storm and the snow melt kept refreezing every night - icing over the streets. Could be off on...
