2024 Roster: How do you see it vs 2020-2021 team?

This is my very #onbrandDave take. Sorry.

2024 Roster: How do you see it vs 2020-2021 team?

It's a negative exercise because you currently have 4 players left from last year and only 5 coming in. We don't know how a brand new roster is going to play out. Where as in 20-21 you had a complete roster with a lot of continuity coming in. It's two totally different situations. And...

2024 Roster: How do you see it vs 2020-2021 team?

Clever again. Also, let's look at the 2020 situation. No NIL. Not as much transfer movement. Everyone staying in place due to the pandemic. I think it's fair to talk about the potential of next season without putting expectations on it. But not fair comparing and incomplete roster to a...

2024 Roster: How do you see it vs 2020-2021 team?

Well no. I think if you compared pre-season expectations of that team to pre-season expectations of where we are now, that is a fair argument. That was a complete roster to an incomplete one which makes your comparison unfair. Clever attempt, but unfair. Let's try again in May.

Just so I have this straight, you want to compare a complete team with an incomplete team?

OT: Good article on Hurley rise

If anyone wants to really dig into the Hurley/Rutgers stuff. The first time around, when he was at Wagner, he was demanding at least a 7 or 9 year contract in order to clean up the Mike Rice stuff and then hit the ground running. Clearly, we didn't go with that. The second time around, and I...

Sure ok There is, in my opinion, protecting homerism and then reading every one of your negative posts under the guise of “realism” and then saying “who me” and everyone sees it. Aaron and Danny are great but you just couldn’t help popping in here to make sure everyone knew you weren’t a fan...

I get it, you’re gonna get on anything positive and make sure you’re critical and cooler than anyone else. Aaron B knows a ton. But this is your thing and the next reply will be “who me?” To try and change the angle.

Scarlet Ticket update: Men's hoops match is next...

Because with the right pieces, this team has a legit chance to make a deep run, but sometimes the right pieces cost $. So if you are so inclined to donate... donate to hoops!

I think college sports will collapse in on itself

I love the "let me post about the worst possible ever scenario" posts. Tomorrow we will find out that Steve Pikiell's offense is responsible for an outbreak of Ebola. Basketball won't collapse on itself. It will be crazy offseasons for a while, but as long as the madness is still mad, people...

Steve Pikiell will have to deal with something he has never had to next year: Expectations

But again fan expectation rising does not equal consequence if fan expectations aren't met. It will be up to the AD and probably a few influential donors. People can yell all they want on a message board but ultimately that doesn't mean anything. I know Pikes didn't have the year he expected...
