Wrestling Another BOOM -- Rutgers lands Harvard heavweight transfer Yaraslau Slavikouski

Gotta be honest. Not a big fan of Goodale, but love his BOOMS!

Wrestling BOOM -- Rutgers Wrestling lands commitment!

Welcome to RU, Conner! I live in PA and he's a true stud! Great job to our coaching staff to bring in the hammer to RU!

    Damion Hahn

When Goodale moves on, it should be Pritzlaff. I believe he'll do a fantastic job here as a HC, and as much as Hahn would be wonderful here, we need to reward loyalty. I know Goodale has built this program, and I give him his due respect, but his credential as a wrestler is weak compared to...

No. 14 Rutgers Wrestling Heads to Detroit for 2022 NCAA Championships / Tournament Thread

I don't get the Yanni hate. I heard the interview and he was just being harsh on himself - how he's wrestling too conservatively due to the big stage and he is allowing the environment to get to him, and needs to have nuts. We all know if Yanni wrestles to his capabilities, he'll dominate...

No. 14 Rutgers Wrestling Heads to Detroit for 2022 NCAA Championships / Tournament Thread

Gravina was a warrior. It's impossible to wrestle to your potential with shoulder dislocation issues. If it wasn't for that, he'd be multiple AA. I think it comes down to what you have inside and how much you want it during the offseason. Our kids are all ultra talented to compete against...

My sincere condolences to Ashnault family. May he rest in peace.

No. 15 Rutgers Wrestling Hosts Maryland Saturday in Big Ten Finale / Match Thread

Relating to Goody has to go talk. I wonder if the recruits are coming b/c of Goody or b/c of other factors (our assistant coaches, close to home, B1G affiliation, etc). Goody has done a lot of great things, and from that, he's set for life no matter what. I do think passing of the torch can...

No. 15 Rutgers Wrestling Hosts Rider (Thursday), No. 6 Ohio State (Sunday) Match Thread

Very disappointed in our team. There's no slouch in OSU team, but Poz and Bulsak need to both win those matches against their backups.

JoJo! Big fan, and want to wish you the best of luck! We only know you from wrestling angle and this is Rutgers wrestling forum, so please understand if you read some stuff that may not be positive with you, your gf, or family. Fact is, if we meet you outside, we'll all be on your side 100%...

Rutgers # 14 In The Country

I also don't think Alvarez can make 133lb weight. Did he wrestle 133lb in any open tournament since the season ended?

Wow......Boom! Dean Peterson flips from Princeton to RU!!!

I would think staying in school and keep growing academically and athletically during this uncertain time is the best way to go. Once you get out, life hits you hard - why not just keep preparing with free education and being a big boy on campus.

    VanBrill listed at 157

I'm rooting for MVB to come back to his natural and best weight in 149. I think he'll break out this season - he was right there last season with the best wrestlers in the country, and I believe he is the best in 149 at RU (and Jo Jo redshirts and continues to develop). Really rooting for MVB...

Wow......Boom! Dean Peterson flips from Princeton to RU!!!

I completely agree! Hope Jo Jo does redshirt and come back with 3 years of training under his belt with sophomore eligibility!

Wow......Boom! Dean Peterson flips from Princeton to RU!!!

But Princeton and other Ivys don't give out athletic scholarships, and everyone knows that. Was he supposed to get something else and PU screwed up?

Summer Catch-Up with Head Coach Scott Goodale

If Janzer is going to be a back up in either weight, wouldn't he want to back up at a weight requiring less weight cut? Why kill yourself and be a backup at 184?

    Suriano enters the Portal

Suriano will always have a place in my heart. Him and Ashnault winning the national gold that year really put RU in a different place in the wrestling world. He's gone now, but he wasn't supposed to be at RU this long considering the year he started college wrestling. Best wishes to him!
