Agreed, that is why I said that next year needs to be the accountability year, no excuses.

    NCAA Day 2 Thread

Lehigh and Cornell's history is not a relevant argument 17 years into a coach's tenure. The kids he is currently recruiting now were either not born, or 1, 2, and 3 years of age when he took over Rutgers. They don't know the history of Lehigh and Cornell wrestling, they just know today...

    NCAA Day 2 Thread

If you have to ask why Cornell then you obviously don't follow wrestling in the Northeast. They have established themselves as the elite program aside from obviously Penn State. A position that Rutgers should clearly occupy given our location and conference. And I didn't just signal out...

    NCAA Day 2 Thread

Lot of excuses, not buying that even a healthy Soldano scores any points at nationals. The fact is that 17 years after taking the job we are not any closer to competing with Cornell than we were the first day he took over. Lehigh is a shadow of its former self, yet it is still outperforming us...

    NCAA Day 2 Thread

Behind Lehigh, South Dakota State, Little Rock, Northern Iowa, West Virginia, Virginia Tech and then the elephant in the room Cornell. After 17 seasons we are still worlds apart from Cornell. After 17 seasons we still have not buried Lehigh. The same dribble about where we came from starts to...

    BigTen vs SEC TV Viewership

Does the B1G have one program in the South or Southwest? You are either a national conference or you are not, just like you are either pregnant or you are not. Does the B1G reach further east to west than the SEC, no arguing with that point. Does the B1G have the potential to become a...

    BigTen vs SEC TV Viewership

The B1G doesn't have one program south of Maryland. That includes all of the South and Southwest. You are not a national conference if you don't have one single program in the very heart of college football, including Florida and Texas. The SEC is definitely a regional conference, but the B1G...

OT: Clemson files suit against ACC

If you don’t understand this you are either too young to remember (excusable) or a historical revisionist (inexcusable). Paterno for all his faults was a stalwart supporter of Rutgers athletics throughout his whole lifetime, to state otherwise is just pure ignorance.

OT: Do we feel bad for Seton Hall?

The Big East has been relegated to a mid-major conference. The days of them getting a handful or more teams in the tournament are history. They offer nothing to the B1G and SEC, they are lucky those conferences even agree to let them play in the tournament going forward, the 80s are over.

OT: Syracuse HC Fran Brown on GETTING THE JOB + Trev Alberts Interview

If both Schiano and Brown were let's say at Rutgers (I think that might have happened at one point, not sure), who would Schiano himself say is the better recruiter and more in tune with today's African American kids? Here is an idea for you, ask Schiano that question if you get the chance...

GAME 32 MARYLAND: They shoot horses don't they

If next year's class is a once in a lifetime recruiting event than the long-term viability of this coach can be questioned. However, my hope is that he can build on next year's class and bring in elite talent every year going forward. Yes, this was an off year, but we are talking about a...

    I love Coach Pike but……….

Seriously? The guy and his staff can flat out recruit and it is not like we are rolling in NIL $s like some of the programs he is competing against. So, he had an off year, big deal, we ain't Duke, next year we will be right back towards the top of the conference and all these "fans" calling...

We will contend for a playoff spot in 2024

Let's put it this way, after week two we certainly will still be in the running for the playoffs.

OT: President Holloway's budget address (mentions athletics)

I am in favor of a constitutional amendment eliminating any type of compensation for college athletes.

OT: President Holloway's budget address (mentions athletics)

Of course it will, the momentum is building, not long before legislation in blue states will follow. Very naive to believe that if the decision is affirmed that it will not eventually affect all of college athletics.

OT: President Holloway's budget address (mentions athletics)

Once the football and basketball players are officially declared employees when the Dartmouth decision is affirmed on March 5 and they vote to unionize it will be only a short time before the conferences will be forced to share the media $s with the players. Will Rutgers and other schools such...

    OT: Kelce

You are a bit of nut yourself. You jump to so many conclusions it makes a person downright dizzy. Who was even talking about Taylor Swift, but then you jump to stalking, too funny. Jealousy? I thought this was a sports board discussing a player, maybe I am wrong, but I don't think so, nope...

    OT: Kelce

That is a silly response, the topic of the thread is Kelce, nobody cares about me or even you. It is indisputable at this point that he is a drunken/drugged up mess with a lot of emotional issues.

    OT: Kelce

A lot if you listen to his Coach Andy Reid, he stated the first 5 years he was on the roster was hell. He also had a relapse that his brother documented when he was rooming with his brother in his dorm so he could keep an eye on him. Wonder what type of drugs he was on at the podium today...

    OT: Kelce

If your drug use causes you to be suspended from your job for a year then that is a problem. And make no mistake about it, that was his job, that is the only reason he was in college, if you listen to him on his podcast he admits he was not a legitimate student athlete.
