Do we go all out with Lovett and let him be the only RB recruit in this class or should we bring in 2 guys considering our depth will be low in a couple years??

I believe Lovett is good enough to be our only RB recruit this year. We can use the other scholarship somewhere else.

Does NJ have any elite RB talent in the 2018 class?

Gotta go after Darrington. Lovett seems to be a PSU flight risk and from everything I read Devin is a player.

We are now in the rebuilding process. We need to get to the point of reloading (which will take several years) in order to test the BIG Elite. In order to that, yes we need more running backs right now.

No freakin' way! Need 2 (3-star) types (Lovett and Darrington) and a couple of solid walk-ons IMHO.

So if we can only get Lovett by making him the only RB in this class, we shouldn't do it?
I say do it, and go for 2 guys next year

No, but it's a powerful recruiting tool and I'm wondering what our strategy should be.

It's a question of whether we need to upgrade our top end talent or upgrade depth.
Both. But if I had to choose one it would be depth, especially given we are transitioning to the spread.

After the class a few years ago when we ended up with only a walk on at wide receiver I live in fear of it happening again at another skill pisition. Ok maybe not fear. Trepidation ?:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Two problems with trying to sell Lovett he is do important he is the only RB we are taking.

1. We already have shown the contrary by taking two commitments.

2. We are left with none if he decides to follow girlfriend to PSU.
