He is definitely going to have to put on a good amount of muscle weight before he can make an impact, on the field, the average weight for a edge rusher in college football is between 240 & 260 lbs & he’s at 205 .

Developing 3 stars is Schiano and staff’s bailiwick. Not having 3 high-school five star receivers on the field at once isn’t much of a disability. That said, I believe The Fightin’ Woody’s of Ohio St will field many five stars tonight. Notre Dame will look like a bunch of walk-ons in comparison…but will keep it close through three quarters.

Edge rushers that can influence games are at a premium. This kid’s upside if realized…makes him a game changer. Based on his offers…I believe huge is on the mark.
Wish people like @newwavedave1 would keep their crappy thoughts to themselves in commitments threads. What would the recruit, his coaches and family think if he had to read this negativity from Rutgers fans?

Since when is landing a 3* prospect huge? I guess naming you "Realistic Al" was a bit premature.
look at his offer list.
Sometimes your lowly 3 star is looked by some programs on as having 5 star potential, the offers he gets show that fact.
The finalist RU beat out to get his commitment aren't the only highly regarded P-5 programs that offered .
That makes this commit a HUGE pick-up.

Didn't say it wasn't a good get, just not a huge get. Not meant as a put down of the recruit. More a put down of Rutgers Al.

Hopefully recruits and their families realize that just because someone posts on a RU message board does not mean that they are RU fans, trolls love to start nonsense on rival message boards

His offer list was very good.
I guess beating out some of the top programs for players isn't a huge thing anymore and should be considered a common every day situation .
Unlike days of past when the occasional recruit passed on top programs offers and chose to be Scarlet Knights was considered a huge surprise.

I guess that’s fair. Certainly having a top 10 portal recruiting class is a much bigger deal.

Actually, it’s going to be interesting to see the trends with HS recruits outside of five stars once the salary cap NIL rules go into effect. 5 stars and proven college studs will command third party deals. High 3 stars and low 4 stars with potential who will likely red shirt or play special teams as frosh will not.

Beating out 2 PA kids in a row that PSU wanted has not been a common thing ever for us. That is a big deal.
