2026 Recruiting

Nice pick up. He's a great athlete which Brecht and co love. Will be a beast in between the lines. I can see him playing D mid in our system, though he's very offensively talented too.

Starting RB on their undefeated state championship football team.

Comes from the Tomahawks program run by the the Cameron family. We are building a pipeline there. His highlights are pretty ridiculous.

I'd strongly consider him at SSDM in our system. He will get offensive reps and he clearly has great feet and is quick so he can play D. He also seeks and absorbs contact well which is a huge benefit in broken field situations and clearing. Seems perfect for that role in our system.

The last 25 recruit we landed was from that club team.

Team Ten is a newer club, the 2026 team is loaded with talent and is ranked 2nd in the country.

Rutgers is looking at another Shawnee/Team Ten kid Tyler Rotkowitz. Tyler is a big (6’4”) left attack.

We have 3 very talented lefties at attack on our team. McAneney, Rotkowitz and Brad Barber. Barber committed to Maryland on 9/2

Luke Gouse of West Morris Central HS (Long Valley, NJ), high school of former Rutgers football Michael Burton and former Rutgers lacrosse captain 2001 David Rough, commits to Maryland. Was Rutgers involved at all?

I believe he is a Leading Edge kid and we do not get many of those kids

Cali, I know this is a little off topic, but do you have any updates about the new stadium—location, size, timeline, type of turf, will it host high school and youth events too?

I haven’t heard anything recently but this is usually a time I don’t get much information. That changes now that fall ball has started.

The location is the blue lot. It will be field turf. The idea is to play us championship games and others there.

I don’t think it has changed much. GS wants lacrosse out of the stadium.
Field first at the front of the blue lot and then stands ( more than OSU) 4-5,000.
Bubble stays and becomes the indoor facility for soccer, lacrosse and track, (this keeps them out of the new football only facility)
Lacrosse has a nice little complex between the Rodkin Center the Bubble and the New Caliknight stadium!!!

I don't know much about goalie play but it's good to see more highly ranked commits coming, especially from the NJ private scene. We've been making inroads into the mid Atlantic private school scene, especially in PA.

As it relates to goalies, we will have 4 4*s on the roster when Corey gets on campus.

3* fogo George Mavlios commits to RU out of Chaminade on Long Island. I heard from one of his coaches who thinks he's one of the top 3 fogo's in the class. Recruiting is off to a strong start for the class. It's very likely to be a smaller one compared to the last two years.

Love this. With Weirman finally graduating I’m hoping for a little more parity at the X in the BIG - though I expect UMD to reload.

I love the dad sideline video 😁 in the highlights.

The kid looks good and if Schommy says he is good then he is. FOGO's are such a crap shoot though and we are going to have to get a couple to stay and grow. this is where they may have needed to add a faceoff specialist as a coach instead of a goalie

Having a limit on the number of coaches is rough for those two spots. Almost always you have the coach being more proficient as a goalie coach or fogo. Hopefully Porter has learned and studied fogo techniques. No question the goalies love him on staff.

Another 4* in the fold. Lefty attackman out of Gonzaga in D.C. We've been recruiting the privates in DC very well. Slick and aggressive. We have a lot of lefty's on the team. How that translates on the field will be interesting. Definitely a different look potentially for opposing defenses.

Other site says RU got a commitment from Laxachusetts middie. The name is Tripp Schuhwerk, which I checked and is a real person.

Yep, he announced on SM.

No idea of his rating but his film pops. He's very athletic, can clear the ball and play D. He also has real offense. I could see him being a D middie in our system but his O is legit. I know the staff wants to get back to running and gunning more. Looks to have excelled in hockey too which is pretty obvious when you see his tape.

We have a bunch of guys from the Laxachussetts club team. Must have been one helluva official visits this past weekend.

Tripp is another lefty. I'm really curious what kinds of wrinkles they can do on offense with all of these lefties.

What's happening on the women's side? Looks like they have 1 commit from NJ and no commits from the top 3 ranked club teams in NJ - STEPS, CLC and BBL. RU had some success a few years ago ('22) led by a core group of players from NJ - Naslonski, Ball, Spilis, Hartshorn, Beneducci, etc. They seem to have a good pipeline from Moorestown, but never see an impact player from other perennial top 10 teams like Summit, Chatham, Oak Knoll, Ridgewood, and Morristown.
