All 3 were the medalist (1st Place) at their respective qualifying sites. Not too shabby.

Rutgers has lost one of their all time best players with Gotterup transferring to OU but the US Am results to date indicate these young guys can play under pressure.

Apparently he's an incoming freshman from Massachusetts.

According to his Bio he was the #1 ranked HS senior in Mass after being the #1 ranked HS junior by the Boston Globe the year before. Now that's not like being ranked #1 in Fla, Georgia, Tex, or Cali but it's still a pretty darn nice accomplishment.

RU is also bringing in NJ's #2 ranked HS senior from West Essex HS. He won the Essex Co Tourney as a Freshman.

Of course College Golf, where most have impressive HS resumes, is a whole different world.

By the way the highest ranked RU recruit by the American Junior Golf Ass'n is Cade Anderson from Scottsdale, AZ. He's ranked as the 5th best HS senior in the state and 73rd senior in the nation. Weston Jones is #102 senior in the Nation.

Chris Gotterup finished 4th at his qualiffying site, Hackensack CC. He's a 2nd alternate.

RU Junior to be Brendan Hansen failed to qualify at Bedens Brook in Skillman. He shot an opening round 77 and missed the cut.

3 out of 4 still ain't bad.

Both Jones and Anderson played in this past week's US Junior Amateur. Neither made the 36 hole cut.

The cut was +4, Jones shot +9 and Anderson +14.

Jones next heads to the US Am joining 2 other RU golfers.
