4 Players Looking to Transfer from So Carolina.

Wow, wonder if Stanly is pushing them too hard in their opinion, pushing them out or just playing-time issue.
Cooper even though the Gamecocks leading scorer might feel her playing time might be cut into with the talent arriving next season and as a Grad transfer ( think she'll be one) won't have to sit or apply for a hardship waiver to leave.

Sounds like a playing time issue to me. With 4 of the top players as part of the incoming freshman class, Dawn is reloading for another title run.

If you read some of the articles it sounds as if Staley always though Cooper might only stay for one year. It is interesting that the decision came so late though.

Would RU want any of them?
Mikiah Herbert Harrigan might be one.
She was considered the #12 forward in the Class of 16 .
Averaged 10.6 PPG and 5.1 RPG in 22.7 MPG
last year.
But would be a senior with one year eligibility left , so if not coming in as a Grad transfer she would sit one to play one.

LaDazhia Williams was fairly highly regarded #12 forward in class of 2017,but hasn't been used much during her time at SC.

Rutgers needs to improve up front so those two would fill a need , but both have reasons why Rutgers might want to pass.

Who is Stanly?

Who is Stanly?
:chairshot:Staley.
My mistake in spelling , that I didn't catch till you pointed it out  [winking]:p

I understand Cooper is going back to South Carolina next year:
"Cooper said after the Gamecocks’ season-ending loss to Baylor that she was coming back, and she did not file for early entry to the WNBA. That means USC’s leading scorer will return as one of 10 scholarship players, four of which make up the country’s top-ranked recruiting class."

You were probably thinking of Marianne what's her name. Is she still around? Think she has been an assistant at every college, and WNBA team in the country.

No I was thinking of Dawn Staley , not Marianne Stanley ( would have spelled her last name wrong too and did before double checking this)
so can't use misspelling Marianne's name as an excuse. [laughing]

:okay:
all in fun, you can make fun of my mistakes any time you want to.
I take no offense and will help you do that.
I enjoy friendly banter on things like that.
To often people take life and boards like this too serious and adding a bit of fun makes posting here more enjoyable.
Truce it is , but there was never a war, just friendly banter.
