Seriously, how many times can they hid the slot receiver on a 20 yard post against zone 2 coverage? A JV high school quarterback would hit that pass all day against how we were playing zone pass defense

But it is mind-boggling to watch teams run the Nella stuff to get stuff like were a high school team out there

I have never seen a defense coached this bad where the whole defense is so much inferior to the sum of the parts

The worst defensive football coaching I have seen it 40 years of Rutgers football was the season

The good news is a new defense of Cordinator with a new head coach will get this unit to improve a lot next year to the point where they should be at least mediocre.

But only if we get a coach that knows how to coach defense

We gave up 42 points a game big 10 play this season

I don't care if we find the next bill Walsh is our head coach, if we don't get that number fixed, it isn't going to matter

The QB situation has been the major complaint of most on this Board this year but I'm with you the defense has been atrocious, first it was the pass defense (opponents making 3rd and forever plays) and last few games both the pass and run defense were unable to stop anyone. No adjustments were made to put the players in a better position to make stops!
