America/Beautiful, a wide-ranging project from pianist and Rutgers professor Min Kwon kicking off July 4, honors this nation’s founding ideals with music.

Kwon, an internationally celebrated concert pianist, commissioned 75 composers for their variations on “America the Beautiful.” Intentionally inclusive, she sought musicians from different ethnicities, backgrounds, orientations, and generations.

She has Julliard pedigree and apparently some serious chops. Impressive to see MGSA have someone of this caliber on their faculty. Must be a strong recruiting tool for students to their music programs.
