Looking at stats:
Completions Attempts Total Yards TDs Completion %
Quarterback A: 129 200 1536 12 64.5%
Quarterback B: 14 24 233 2 58.3%
Quarterback C: 105 176 1009 3 59.7%
Now this is in no way scientific, but the analysis is only meant to show that Rettig deserves more playing time; not necessarily supplanting the starter, but CERTAINLY playing time prior to the fourth quarter.
Quarterback A is Laviano; B is Rettig, and C (some of you probably already know) is Laviano MINUS Carroo. When you take out Carroo's numbers, the comparison seems pretty simple. Rettig did not play against OSU's starters, that is true. But when the offense stalls (regardless of who the starter is), there is no shame in trying anything different.
The one thing that is constant, (and puzzling), is that Rettig has NEVER seen the field at the same time as Carroo.
I'm sorry, there is NO REASON FOR THIS, short of Flood being a MORON!!!!
