Another altercation today vs Manhattan featuring Angel Delgado and of course Myles Powell joining in as 3rd man with a rather what I thought cheap shot from behind - similar to his pathetic play against Eugene at the end of our game.

I won't go hard on Delgado as he was fighting for the ball with the Manhattan player however I thought Powell's move was bush.

I just saw it on ESPN.Com however I'm sure all could "you tube" it

Powell was thrown out of the Manhattan game. Wonder if he gets suspended...hope he does.

Maybe Powell is still angry from last Saturday....:)

I'm not in tune with Seton Hall BB and granted they're a very good NCAA team - but between Powell's dirty plays; Walker leaving / coming back; the suspension of Sanogo recently - there are some issues there to be cognizant of.

There's more rumblings on twitterverse on SHU....none of it appears to be too positive behind the scenes right now....

The thread about them being very hard to root for as a team, is deep-rooted in their players being chippy.....a couple of years ago, you can call it youthful players learning how to win.....now it's just kids that literally don't have any real respect for anyone and it's starting to surface with suspensions and suspensions being masked as kids quitting and returning to the team (Walker)....there was a taunting/trash talking Technical from K.Carrington woofing to a guard on Wagner, while up 20 points the other day.....yes, they are woofing and trash talking the powerful Wagner program from Staten Island....

Granted whenever you have these local programs with tons of tristate area kids, you are going to have chippy play...I think they are going to be fine in the Big East, there isn't a lot of physical play and tough defense most nights, but I'd imagine that the St. Johns SHU games are almost certainly going to have multiple tech fouls in them....whomever throws the first elbow or shoulder into Delgado and Rodriguez in their Big East games, will take them out of their focus and game....

Rodriguez has been sat down several times over the last few years by Willard. Herb Pope was a thug for years. Rodriguez has almost started a fight in a few games this season. Rhode Island is one. He is often like a run away train out of control. Now after the cheap shot by Powell on Eugene in our game with 3 seconds left followed by his incident today vs. Manhattan he is beginning to act a bit like Pope and Rodriguez as well. It is not the reputation I would ever want my players to have. Sanogo was suspended today. Willard has his work cut out for him to control his team.

Anybody see the article about Powell's brother that hit the news last month? Not good. Not saying he's his brother, but I don't think he's a saint either.

Good Lord! The chippiness started against RU because Pykell told your big men to play chippy against Rodriguez and Delgado to frustrate them and throw them off their game. His strategy worked so other Teams have followed suit. If the Refs are going to allow the chippiness to continue, Desi and Angel are going to fight back. Powell was ejected today because he was protecting Angel’s back like a good teammate should. References to his sick and mentally disturbed brother are uncalled for.

You watched the video and think that Powell was protecting his teammate as the 3rd man in on the play? He viciously chopped one Manhattan player from behind, then pushed another from behind. He should be suspended for his actions, yet you want to praise him as a good teammate? Is that the Seton Hall code of conduct on the court?

Ok maybe the reference to his brother was unnecessary. You're right, my bad. But... I still think Myles is a bit of a punk.

Hey Dirty, you get some slack because of your Thug-Shoe Team photo a few years back which I hate to admit was pretty funny. Lol

Powell is a coward. All of his dirty plays are from behind. He. Ever confronts a dude face to face. I could see the wheels falling off the hall real quick

Ha! batts, too funny, before last week's game with you guys I was thinking about that! That was awhile ago... pretty sure it was the Toney El squad. Anyway, Ann banned me from your site for that and I'm not 100% sure but it may have been a lifetime ban, hahaha

Dirty, that’s right. It was the Toney-El and Barrett team. If you want to post on the SHU Board, just email me HallDan. He’s a good guy and will reinstate you if necessary.

Powell threw up his gang sign when he was jawing w DeShawn. Clear as day...fine young man no doubt.

If I were a SHU fan I would be embarrassed by my teams behavior. Look like a lot of thugs to me.

If I were a Rutgers fans I’d be embarrassed I haven’t made the NCAA tourney since 1991 and haven’t had a winning record since 2006. Always excuses.
yep, most RU fans are embarrassed about the lack of tourney invites.
9 times in tourney since the 1990-1991 season isn’t a major accomplishment either. Especially because of the type of players Seton Hall recruited to do that.
