He was beaming in the postgame show. He took a little schtick for that prediction but RU is proving him right
I remember his prediction, on the money.
Katz has said good things about us all year on the BTN. Even a couple of months ago he said something about us upsetting teams in the B1G Tourney. He was right!

Yes, right after the Iowa game. His co-anchor was shocked. You can tell he’s a big fan of coach and how we play
he also said that even if we get blown out tonight , RU has gained that program changing win--
Katz and RU are shaping up to be the storyline tournament with center stage tonight for RU....Friday nights are usually very quiet in College Hoops, once 6PM rolls around, the story line with the CBB and sports world will be RU, the longer they stay in this game....Purdue has to be thinking about playing the next day at 4PM, I'm not sure they expected RU and were probably prepping for Indiana.
Katz has been excellent all season overall...Fox and BTN coverage has improved each and every month......last night's game went a very long way folks....last years Ohio State game made waves in the DC area with a recruit like Mathis.....RU is the trendline, Katz can help with more buzz tonight after the game.

Also, he also enjoys college basketball. Now, I know he's working a bit for the the Big Ten now after being let go by ESPN but he's never been one of those guys seeking out something to make a snarky comment. He actually likes the GAME. Most of these college writers just seem like miserable people (Dana O'Neil is THE absolute worst). Complaining about the Big Ten Tournament being in NYC, crowd size (which considering we're just playing the quarterfinals TODAY is ridiculous), Jim Delaney, etc. Conference tournaments are great. To find something to complain about them just shows me you don't like basketball. This is fun.
This is so money. I hate these writers who come up with some bs just to see if it will stick. Obviously our season didn’t go the way we wanted it to go, but Katz must have seen something in the way we play/are coach to think we could win a game or two
