Another take on the Rutgers BOG stance on Flood

If I were advising the Rutgers BOG and if our thoughts are to replace Flood , my advise would be to profess a desire to give Flood another year pending a positive report from the law firm investigating the drug abuse allegations. If the report is negative , Flood is fired for cause and the university saves the buyout fees owed to Flood and his staff. If word leaked out beforehand that the university was seeking to replace Flood ,a negative report could be viewed as pretextual and Flood would have a better argument that he should receive severance. If the report is positive, then Flood gets his buyout fees. So those reports claiming Rutgers will give Flood another year may be nothing more than a smokescreen. We'll find out soon enough.
