Just win the next two. I think this team has shown an ability to play up (or down) to the level of talent.

i know we have two nba players but way too much iso in our offense. Bottom 3rd in assists in the league. Not a recipe for future success. We need for Jwill to to be a reliable third option and then one of the other “shooters” acuff or PJ to take turns making some shots.
I would like to see pike actually have harper and ace set some screens for acuff and pj and vice versa when they’re in. Use the d wanting to stay attached to these two as a positive and not just make pj and acuff spot up shooters who rarely move or touch the ball.
I cringe whenever Jordan drives to thr basket as he just have no clue when to drive half the time and overdrives with no plan most of the time

Jordan and JMiss both. Derkack is out of control, head down and barrels to the hoop. Refs bailed him out often. We won’t get that whistle on the road.

You won't end up high on assist lists when your best player is a ball dominant guard and your 2nd best is a shot maker.

Unfortunately I don’t. Love that we pulled out the win first and foremost. Based purely on results and our team’s metrics to date, at the end of the year we’re likely a 16 win team with current offense and defensive production. Road games are going to be brutal and RAC games will come down to final possession with us lucky to win 50% of them in conference. Not a good combo to make the NITs or stretch NCAAs.
Harper and Bailey are awesome, it’s the supporting cast that is just playing abysmal basketball more often than not. If we’re going to keep a long bench, it’s going to be bench production that determines the outcome of this season. If we shorten the rotation it’s going to be Jordan, Jwill, and Lathan that determine the outcome.

It’s been too much hero and iso ball for years now with Pike. Not since we ran a Horns set with Myles and Cliff did we have an assemblance of organized movement or screens. We were told this team would score 85 a game. How?! Was there a coaching plan to achieve this or just overconfidence in the staffs ability to play the portal and hit home runs on selections. That was the worst team left on our schedule. Going to be a quiet March in Piscataway.

If we could stop turning the ball over and start hitting FT's, at home, then YES I do agree with the OP's premise. Most of us felt it was going to take until mid-January for a roster with 9 new pieces to get going, especially depending on 2 frosh so much, and I think we may have forgotten that a little. We're right where we expected to be, record-wise, other than that ridiculous loss to KSU. We're gonna need to make that one up, and KEEP THE RAC advantage through the season, plus pull a couple surprises on the road and not bow out in the 1st round of the B1G's that's for damn sure. Anyway, babbling, BUT I think it's going to happen soon and that'll help these guys relax a little I was STUNNED at how tight we came out today.
