ASH sign this kicker from bridgewater!! Video..

He earned the Varsity job this as a sophomore and hit multiple 40+ yard field goals & touchbacks that season. Now as a junior, he is deadly accurate from 50 and in and can make field goals back to 58 yards. He even kicked multiple kickoffs for touchbacks as a freshman! He gets great lift on his field goals and can already kick off the ground when needed.

Touchbacks would help us immensely.

I would love to find our opponent starting positiom after kickoff statistic. I imagine we may be top 10 worst in nation, especially factoring all the TD returns.

But it general, seems like they always get the ball in the 30s-40s. Would take the 20 every time.

Again, I talked with 3 cheerleaders after last weeks game and they said he was headed to RU. What I heard all along was that Ash wanted him to walk on to save schollies now,

Had 2 FGs and 3 extra points last night in blowout of Franklin. Bridgewater is 7-0.

As far as I can remember if he attends last player to play for RU to come from a Bridgewater school since 1980 (RB the year before me at BWater East). There may have been an Immaculata player from Bridgewater.

are you talking to cheerleaders again? lol...just kidding! Mason Robinson played at Lata ..but was from Sommerville,if thats who you are thinking about.

We can save 10 scholarships on the special teams if the KICKER can put the ball in the end zone. Our current kicker can't kick!

I am 1000% ok with using a scholly on this young man. I would maybe grey shirt him , but definitely scholly-worthy

Oh yeah, we definitely need a young guy like Justin.

Seems like forever since we've had a kicker who was money, (either on KO's, punts, or as we saw today, even XP's), and Justin's skills could be just what the doctor ordered.

No same cheerleader conversation but now everyone is begging for that kicker I "put a good word in for". Block R, like the Clark contest where I voted 1,500 times so far if the cheerleaders (18 and above only) force me to be dominated by them in order to land (Davidowicz?) the kicker, I will die for dear ole Rutgers if necessary, and do whatever is Required.

No unless we had an RU player from Immaculata that lived in Bridgewater (jinx-just said on TV) don't remember a player from Bridgewater or Bridgewater East/West (pre merge) since 1980. He only lasted a year (knew him in HS from class-year ahead of me at Cook-same HS class and school path as at least two other students that year inc Shields on this board (who I saw many a game with in the 80s). Was cover of first "Men of Rutgers calender".

The other poster sad he already committed. I have other Bridgewater students and players/ex players where I work out so I will try to talk with them. Actually I did a few weeks ago and the player mentioned the RB not Justin. Maybe I can get a pic with Justin, me AND the cheerleaders ;>)

Shields if you read this did you ever hear he preferred the guys (not that there's anything wrong with that)? Had plenty of interest from the many cute ladies in the class I was in with him (the irony in that was that another guy who was a good athlete in my class was recently online in a gay pride shirt and that would have made it two years in a row where a male member of the homecoming court (stud) escorting a "hottie"-preferred guys over the women.

What the hell are you talking about?

That's what he told me. He said he committed before the Michigan game. He's one of the student coaches on my son's flag football. Can't find it written anywhere. What a coup if we could get him. He deserves a scholarship here.
You said he verablled to RU allready? awesome if true..how come no announcement?

Did anyone notice that almost every kickoff was from the 40 yard line? I didn't know they kicked from the 40 in HS. He's got a big leg but the kickoffs do need to be adjusted for the extra 5 yards

True, but every single one of his kickoffs lands at the BACK of the end zone. That would still be the middle of the end zone in college, which is about 15-20 yards deeper than we're seeing right now.

I also heard that they had him try about a 55 yard FG, which he just missed.

That's what he told me. After the Michigan game the recruits were talked to and then the commits. If you can believe it, a friend's daughter is a BR cheerleader and said he was going to Army. So after flag football I went up to him and said something like I hear congrats are in order for Army and he said he was offered at Army but committed before the Michigan game. I laughed and said "ooh that hurt". He's a really nice kid and really hoping it is all true. Couldn't imagine him making this up. I wish it could be confirmed somewhere.

Maybe it's not confirmed anywhere because the young man hasn't told anyone from the recruiting sites. You probably shouldn't have said anything.

Since it's nowhere to be found, it must not be true and just forget what I said. Maybe it was wishful thinking. So only the players report to the sites? Guess there is much to learn.
