RPI 11 (#2 in the B1G, although #1 is Illinois, so go figure)

1-3 v. RPI top 25
2-3 v. RPI top 50
4-3 v. RPI top 100

2-0 v. SEC
1-1 v. ACC
0-2 v. BEast
2-0 v. AAC
1-0 v. A-10

More information about OOC performance this year compared to last year:

Points-for down a lot from median of 74.00 per game to 60.50. Little change in points-against from 55.00 per game to 51.00. Last year's OOC record was 9-2 and the modified Pythagorean predictor indicated that RU would go 14-4 or 15-3 in B1G play; the record was a somewhat disappointing 12-6. This season, based on the same model and assuming no data entry error, the prediction is for 12-6 or 13-5 in the conference. I really thought last season's team would be in the top three of the B1G last season. I do not know what to make of the B1G this year.

BeKnighted which RPI list do you use? There are a few links out there.

From what you've posted, we had a pretty solid OOC schedule (4 teams in top 25, 5 in top 50, 7 in top 100). While no one is pleased about the losses to SHU, SJU, or FSU, none of them are "deal-breaker" losses like UMass turned out to be 2 years ago. Hard to quite tell how good the team is yet, but if they take care of business in the B10, March should once again be fun.

Also an interesting note (since I'm sure this will come up at some point this season): But as of right now, our 3-pt stats are near identical to UConn's. (Yes they've played 4 fewer games than us, so their numbers will go up, but the percentages are about the same in number of mades vs attempts)

I took the RPI from WBB State.

By the way, here's last year's OOC

9-2

0-2 v. RPI top 25
1-2 v. RPI top 50
3-2 v. RPI top 100

(Also note 6 games v. RPI 100+ teams, including 4 v. RPI 200+ teams, compared to 5 games v. RPI 100+ teams, including 2 v. RPI 200+ teams, although that's not an entirely fair comparison because the season is less than half over.)

2-1 v. SEC
0-1 v. ACC
2-0 v. AAC
2-0 v. A-10

Edited because WBBState seems to have counted the B1G tournament games as OOC, so I needed to remove them.

I'm looking at RealTime RPI right now (http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_161_Women.html) but the team played a very, very solid OOS schedule. Of the 12 games the team played, NINE were against teams in the RPI top 115 (only 3 of those were above 100). The team played only two teams ranked above 200: the SEC's Arkansas (which was a return game, plus this team made the NCAA 2nd round last year) and Savannah St, who also made the NCAA Tournament last year.

That all adds up to a very solid SOS of #22 heading into conference play (where as of now, only four teams are ranked outside the top 100, and none above 169).

I always thought I would see my first Pythagoras reference on an Ivy league message board... Very impressive...:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
