Best food at Jersey Mike's

The jersey mikes subs are ironically the only thing edible at Jersey Mikes … they used to have auntie Anne’s pretzels, not sure anymore but the RAC/stadium has by far the worst food of any stadium high school college pro I have ever gone to
Auntie Ann pretzels can be had just to the right of the entrance. Had one last game and way better than the one I had from the refreshment stand at the previous game.

I got to go chicken cheesesteak. They are pretty good. Overall though I agree with the sentiment on the board. Food choices right now are not very good especially when you consider how much they charge!

I'll have over a week to work off the pretzel and popcorn from week 1 so I'm mulling over what to get next. Maybe I'll try the Auntie Anne's or cheesesteak.

It's been years since I ate at the RAC, since I usually eat before games. Given that JM's is most famous for their subs/hoagies, though, it's surprising that we haven't seen any comments on them.

It's not surprising, but it's frustrating how bad the food is. In the pro stadiums they have upped their game. I don't know what other college arenas are like. But how hard is it to get some average food truck quality, or at least Easton Ave quality grub into the RAC or the stadium? Jersey Mike's should be embarrassed as a restaurant chain to be associated with the food served.
When it was just the kiosk in the Stadium the subs were more than pretty good:1/2 sub, drink and bag of chips for 9 bucks.

Once it became a regular concession behind the counter, not so much. More expensive and no drink or chips.

My suggestion for the Stadium was to have Grease Truck inside where the cannon used to be.

I know you can't do that inside the RAC but maybe out front in the circular driveway?

How about Henry's Diner or the Rutgers Club for pre-game?

How do they hold up?

Henry's was closed for a long time due to COVID and now is only open from 12-6 pm on weekdays, which seems pretty dumb, given most hoops games are at 7 pm (and lots of people eat dinner until at least 8 pm). Too bad, as it was a good place to pregame.

The Rutgers Club is great, although it's pretty crowded.

They bring a bunch of top flight food trucks outside the stadium for the "Boardwalk". In other words, it is not difficult to get decent food at a decent price.

But wouldn’t it be cool to have one actually INSIDE on gameday?
